  • It's more of a mill and just my speed. any hope of sharing plans or schematic in solidworks rhino or sketchup? awesome work BTW!

  • wtf is this for?!

  • Very impressive, would like to see video or pics of it completed. Also, think you can forward me your plans? Highly appreciate any help you can give. Take care

  • Nice work!

I'll take three of them! LOL

    peace

  • some people have more spare time than I do. great job!

  • very nice

  • Doesn't really look like a lathe to me.

  • Can you make a terminator robot?

If so please upload a tutorial

  • What stepper control software did you use for this Mach3?

  • that sounds like an old dot matrix printer or something heheh

what kind of tolerances can you manage with that? .0005? better? worse? awesome job none the less :)

  • well printers actually make great bases for small balsa turning applications

  • Good work

  • All beware, smart people will take over the world!

  • no the upper 1 percent LOL, and they are controlling the world already haha

  • I like it

  • sounds like a photo copier lol

  • Did you use basic stamp

  • Why the round rail choice over square?

  • Cheaper. I'm using THK linear rails on the new slantbed lathe with THK ground ballscrews.

  • what a pompus ass sz427

  • what are they cutting wood with that?

  • Wow, four supported linear rails!! Amazing! Did you have any problems with aligning them perfectly, or do you have some trade secret technique?

  • Get the first one aligned and the other 3 were easy!

  • what kind of controller are you using? personal program over plc?

  • I use Mach3 software on a pc.

  • That thing looks amazing! What parts did you buy? What parts did you have to make? Really good job!

  • sounds like a copier or fax machine lol...

  • Copiers and printers/faxes are almost entirely driven by stepping motors like the ones in the video, albeit cheaper and less precise in most cases.

  • Thats a nice peice of kit very impressive... well done..

  • Are you accepting paypal yet so I can buy one? :) I've got to have that thing!

  • Doesnt look like built from scratch. ;) Nice work.

  • is this your own design or did u use plans?

  • It's my own design.

  • very nice lathe :) u got a website where ppl could view it in more detail (mainly me :P) ?
