Hawk Harrelson is a great announcer because he tells the truth no matter what and gives credit where credit is due no matter what team. His sayings are great because you don't hear announcers say that and it shows he has creativity. He is not bias because he is a White Sox announcer and he is a also a White Sox fan so he cheers for the White Sox. White Sox fans are just so lucky to have a guy like Hawk because he keeps you in the game and I am glad to be a White Sox fan. GO WHITE SOX!

For the people who say he's biased or whatever, OBVIOUSLY he is! He is openly a white sox fan, and that's what's great about listening to him. If you're watching the game at home alone, away from chicago, it's like being there talking trash with one of your buddies. If I wanted to hear a neutral announcer, I would watch ESPN. Sometimes I get tired of the "neutral" announcers who are afraid to address things like bad calls. Hawk says what everyone is thinking and calls out any BS that happens.

I only get to hear The Hawk when they replay his calls on MLB network, but what I have heard of him he is a hoot! He is very entertaining, fun, and genuine! I love my announcers here in Philly but I would love to hear him call a Phils game I know the fans would get a kick out of him! Count your blessings White Sox fans you have a awesome guy in your booth!!!

Hawk and Steve Stone are the best The Sox have had in the Booth in a long time...The radio duo of Ed Farmer and DJ are very good also....My favorites were Harry Carey and Jimmy Piersall from back in the 70's....

This is actually an example of why Hawk is a terrible announcer. Nobody has the heart to tell him his sense of humor is weird and awkward. They (we) just laugh along hoping that it ends soon.

BTW, who would have thought Farmer and DJ would work out as well as they have? I was hoping I could stash my AM radio with the addition of Stoney to the tv broadcast, but alas I find I am turning down the tv volume and turning up the radio.
