I don't know what you guys are talking about punkrock style here ? This is exactly the same sound as they developed on their last three studio albums (hardcore or melodic alternative hardrock). The great guitar solo at the end of the song has a heavy metal feeling. I'm happy with their sound today, i think it has less gothic flavor, but that is OK.

This is why AFI is my favorite band. Their energy is contagious, the lyrics never fail to disappoint and the music is just amazing. To me, it's more than just simple music. From the first time I listened to them, I was instantly in love. They speak to you through their music, it's simply amazing.

the show was incredible, I absolutely love Medicate. To me this sounds more like AFI than anything they've done within the last 6 years (i.e. ever since I saw them live vor the first time).

I love the "I feel nothing at all" part. Still can't believe how that got me shiver all over - in a stuffed room with approx. 40°C... xD

ive been an afi fan(freak) for many many years now and id have to say i enjoy this song. its sounds brighter than their previous albums, but it doesnt quiet have that amazing mysterious afi aesthetic. i'm looking forward to the new album with extremely high hopes and im pretty sure i will not be let down judging by the reviews ive read thus far.
