I love how y'all said that Cody is done and they were going to push Ted. One year later, DiBiase is jobbing almost every week and Cody is a upper mid-carder feuding with one of top guys.
@striker15338 No, you can thank Bret Hart for continuing to wrestle with a concussion instead of telling WCW "No and that's final" for a MONTH after that match.
Wrestling Roundtable, as much as I respect your knowledge about wrestling, how can you not be HBK fans when he is a great worker and 'can' wrestle with all the charisma in the world but at the same time you guys are fans of John Cena calling him 'The Man" when he has a limited moveset and has been terrible on the mic ever since he dropped his rapper gimmick? What does Cena have over Michaels that makes him deserve to be the top dog all these years? What's his X-Factor? Tell me guys.
@JMBitchboy Just because you respect someone's ability as a performer doesn't mean you have to like him. Even if I wanted to like Shawn Michaels beyond his wrestling ability(and I used to), there's absolutely nothing likable character-wise to me since he came back in 02, outside of his brief heel run against Hogan in 05. That being said, what does Cena have to deserve to be top dog over HBK all these years? HBK had his time, it's Cena time, what more is there to say than that? Thanks.
@WrestlingRoundtable I just really thought that what matters is preferrably a good moveset, mic skills and good character development which HBK in my view has over the John Cena of the PG era. BUT very insightful. Thanks and as much as I may still have reservations about your opinions at times, I can respect your thoughts.
@JMBitchboy Actually, I found Cena's "cheer me if you like, boo me if you want, I'm just going to keep doing my thing my way" character the past few years pretty cool. Granted, he goes goofy PG stuff like his lame jokes, but I thought it was cool they haven't turned him heel. He's got mic. skills clearly, and a terrible moveset, heh, but he is able to piece together interesting matches & pull them off decently well. And thanks, glad to have your input too! Even if we disagree :)
Audio could have been notched up a little; but otherwise- it's always a pleasure to hear your opinions, gentlemen.
One note over the Bret v Mac match:
I don't suppose any of you heard that female voice directing a "You coward" at Vinny Mac after he revealed that pipe...right after the freaking Hart family gang up on a lone, 64 year old man, no less.
I had to clean up my DVR to tape Wrestlemania. So I deleted last years Rumble, And as you guys are talking about Randy Orton, have you ever touched on how funny it was at the Rumble when he wins, then gets pissed off when he is not standing in the right spot for the shot of him pointing at the Wrestlemania banner pyro. Classic now i wish i didnt delete it.
I loved your commentary on Wrestlemania. The only thing, unless I missed it, I wanted to hear your thoughts on this wrestlemania compared to last year's and all of the previous years. You compared matches and themes, but not overall shows.
@WrestlingRoundtable I saw that and the review of last years Wrestlemania, I'm just wondering did you think this Wrestlemania was an improvement as far as overall shows in the past couple of years or just the same or is it worse than the past several shows.
@reh629 I know. I wish WWE would finally realize what he has but, his time was five years ago and they still didn't push him. It's a shame if you ask me.
@MrPerfect2000Z He did that on purpose! What a great moment by Cena...I'm sure he, and everyone else in the back, thought it was hilarious! Cena stares embraces the haters...and its something that he lacked back in 2006/2007. He's at the top of his game right now.
@AJCANADAPICTURES Lets have a look at all the reigns of the WWE Title last year Jeff Hardy:December 08 to January Edge:January to February HHH:February to April RKO:April to June Batista:June to June RKO:June to September Cena:September to October RKO:October to October Cena:October to December Sheamus:December to February 2010
After watching it: I think Rey vs. Punk should've gone a lot longer (perhaps moving that Bret-Mcmahon crap out of the way), I felt like watching Rey vs. Angle at SS 02 in that it should've gone a lot longer than it did.
Cena vs. Batista was awesome, thoes guys have true chemistry, plus, Cena assumed his role in an awesome way.
Jericho vs Edge was good, but in my opinion, it went the wrong way.
And HBK vs. Taker... that was something else, I had never been so involved in a match. Ever. Michaels send-off was great, it was tough watching my favorite wrestler ever leave, but I possibly couldn't ask for more (I don't think The Undertaker saying "I'm sorry, I love you" to him would've helped). Only bad thing was that now tha Michaels wasn't able to defeat The Undertaker, it is assured that no one can (nor no one should).
@deth0795 It definitely should have gone longer, but they basically just skipped all the slow psychology and went straight to the meat and potatoes of the match...so to speak. Hopefully, they get as much time as they need at Xtreme Rules.
Funny thing about hhh saying everyone he beats at WM disappears is that he is basically saying he has never beat anyone great WM. If you look at his victories at WM, none of them have been great. He beat Goldust, Owen Hart, Booker T, Y2J and won that horrible WM 16 fatal four way. Fucked up thing is he beat Owen Hart at WM 14, so why would he bring up something like that.
@koryosborne I don't think he meant it quite that way. I think Triple H was basically trying to compare this match with what went down at Wrestlemania 12 with him and The Ultimate Warrior. The Warrior squashed The Game in a minute or two and he was saying that he was going to do the same thing to Sheamus. I get your point, however, but I don't think he was trying to take any kind of cheapshot at Booker, Jericho, Goldust, and definitely not Owen.
Jericho can make things work. And personally, I like watching Edge more than certain guys working the main event like Swagger,Sheamus, Triple H, Cena etc.
@Frank15982 Jericho did a tremendous job of not only carrying the feud for the entire time...AND keeping the fans somewhat aware of the fact that Edge has been hurt and they have history since they only tagged for a few weeks. I understand where you are coming from though.
I'm 11 minutes in to this, but they're talking about Orton at this point, so I have to point out that that I always knew Orton was good, but I could never really get on his bandwagan. From winning the 2009 Royal Rumble until now, he's changed my opinion. I thought he was good before, but soon realized, Randy Orton is INCREDIBLE.
@kingamer19 That's a great idea! I'd love to see the Roundtable on JTV. They could have new shows each month and show older episodes & indy wrestling or MMA in between.
Awesome, I have been watching you guys since the very beginning and it's really great to watch you guys grow. The only problem I have always had with you guys is that the shows weren't very frequent, but hopefully things will change now!
@phatjay420, While watching Raw that took place in England, I could have swore I saw the host(Eric) of the Wrestling Roundtable in the front row, was that actually him?
Awesome! Now we are spared from looking at Santamaria's big nose all show, His schnoz is bigger than Triple H's.
Just Kidding, Eric. You rule dude! The whole Roundtable rules! Because I'm a wrestling fan from back in the day (AWA Territory) but I'm a bigger MMA fan here in 2010 . You guy's got all the bases covered. I went to school with Brock Lesnar @ BSC ( Bismarck State College) but I didn't know him personally, He was an asshole & way skinny than he is now. He's my best fighter right now.
I love how y'all said that Cody is done and they were going to push Ted. One year later, DiBiase is jobbing almost every week and Cody is a upper mid-carder feuding with one of top guys.

@phatjay420 Thats why despite my hatred for the guy i can't deny he is the only legit thing they have in WWE
Only wish WWE would stop giving something i call 'The Foley title reign'
You know short reigns that only last a couple of weeks
That isn't how you do title reigns with your top star
In fact if i'm not mistaken the guy that had the longest reign with the bling championship was Orton
Which is fine because i like Orton
