  • I really enjoyed this episode. I especially like the variety of characters you're using and the fact that you brush off a loss and get right back in there. Hopefully we'll see you break out some of that Doom Swag everyone's been doing lately. Between Doom and Magneto you can keep someone in the air for what feels like an hour!

  • I stopped playing this game because THE FUCKING LAG.

Even if I got my ass kicked up and down the block in MvC2, at least it had better online play.

  • everything said in the beginning actually applies to mvc2 not umvc 3. that game sucked. it only had three good characters magneto/storm/sentinel.

  • @therooderflamer and Cable, and Captain Commando, and Dr. Doom, and Iron Man, and Cyclops, and Psylocke. There were a lot of good characters in Marvel 2 with the right assists. The top tier characters even needed assists. I mean Duc Do won EVO 2k5 with Spiral and Yipes used team MSP. I personally think mvc2 had more depth than umvc3 does, but that's just me. But I see where you're coming from. Thanks for the comment.

  • @nassaulnoal do you still play mvc2 then, or plan on going back to playing it? just curious

  • @therooderflamer I don't play it anymore. I've tried to move on since no one really plays it. When it came out on xbl I was on it constantly, but ever since mvc3 I've been trying to get use to the new fighters that everyone is playing.

  • @nassaulnoal i'm surprised people didn't reject mvc3 like a bad habit and stuck with mvc 2 if it is the better deeper game. looks like the people who said that mvc 2 was "for life" and that it would "never die" were wrong as they don't even play it anymore either.

  • @therooderflamer Mvc2 got to a point where it had been played to death and people still liked it, but it eventually reached a period where people said, "yeah this game is dying." The main reason people went from mvc2 to mvc3 was competition. More people started playing mvc3 and basically went to where the money was. Same thing happened to SF4. I always told friends when I went to mvc2 tournaments that I should have gotten into smash because there are just so people who play that game.

  • You want to do some deep DPs?! :3 LOOOOL

  • I love the game, to be honest, get frustrated with lag when I feel I have made inputs and something else is registered. But when those combos come out that you've been working on for a bit and its against a zoner...great feel. I use a team that's majority melee (Cap,Spencer,Tasky) so I feel good beating bad matchups. You should go back to using Dante and Magneto and work on your Vergil in my opinion.

  • @Naizu1 Sorry for the late response, but yeah I hear ya. I'm feel the exact same way. There are times where I can look back and say I could have won if the lag didn't come in at that perfect time to make me drop my combo. Playing a team like that is really tough especially when the game is designed for people to run away. I'm sure it's an awesome feeling to rush down a run away team and win. lol Thanks for the comment.

  • im down for a little bit of SF gameplay . you should try it out

  • I started play Marvel vs Capcom 3. Its way more fun but you have alot of bullshit. Phoenix, and Wolverine scrubs.. Marvel vs Capcom 3 is like black ops and UMVC3 is like MW3.. xd

  • @xFicciouss I can agree with that in the sense of the spawns in mw3 where people are all over the place. It's just very sad to see one of the best and most popular fighting games turn into a Halo 3 or mw3. Thanks for the comment.

  • One thing you have to learn is, that people have no honor online.

There are no combofiends, Mike Ross's, Filipino Champs, or Justin Wongs.

You gotta just go for it. When I first got UMVC3, I went on a 28 game losing streak. The only way to win is to play it cheap until you get to the upper ranks. Then you can meet some good players.

Personally I like UMVC3 the best, because thats just me. But SSF4 is good too.

  • @TheNewDemoman P.s. 4th Scout is pretty damn good though

  • @TheNewDemoman I disagree. I'm a 6th Lord atm with 131 wins and 95 losses (30 of them are just me messing around as a newbie), and i have never played cheap. Just put a character with a teleport in your team and you'll be able to counter all cheap tactics.

    Great vid btw.

  • @TheMatrixLogOut Using teleports to get through keepaway and as a free trick to make your moves safe is cheap in it's own way.

  • @TheNewDemoman Not really, teleports are easy to punish while must cheap tactics are not.

  • @TheNewDemoman That's what I think the problem is with umvc3 is that it's designed to be played a certain way. If you watch streams and tournaments online you'll see that a lot of the grand finals consist of teams that pretty much just run and fill the screen is hit boxes. Wesker isn't becoming a problem anymore since you can just throw projectiles at him all day. I saw Viscant (MvC3 EVO champ) at a tourney and lost. I mean, where did all the players who were good in mvc3 go?

  • lol I enjoyed that rage quit.. i remember in vanilla id make ppl rage quit often but now i lose so much its so damn rare :(

  • @UnLimited714 LOL I know how you feel. Thanks for the comment.

  • @nassaulnoal lol i just noticed im in one of ur older videos from vanilla :D man i wasnt so great til i went past 2nd lord lol eventually got master lord

  • Definitely would be cool to see some SF gameplay. Hope to see you keep playing both games.

  • @TheJupiterSailfish I haven't played SF4 in forever. I probably couldn't even land a 3 frame link. Thanks for the comment.
