@MrSolarwolf No, they're from Norway actually. Black metal originated from Norway, and all American black metal bands (or from other countries as well) are copying DImmu Borgir's music. A lot of them will actually say that they play the same kinda music as Dimmut Borgir and they'll automatically become more famous than they would by saying they play their own kind of music.

As chilote said you probably never heard of bands like Mayhem, Bathory or Venom. Also Darkthrone was founded earlier than Dimmu Borgir and had a huge impact on the norwegian Black Metal. Actually you don't know anything about Black Metal and are not a true fan as it seems to me so pls don't post anymore shit here :).
