It is. It's a 16" crash (I had an 18" that I cracked when I moved!). I love that cymbal. It's got a nice edge, without being harsh. It sounds great on recording, which most cymbals don't.

If you can get your hands on one, you'll love it. Very durable, too (assuming you don't leave it in your car in 5 degree weather and then play a show while the cymbal has ice on it!)

I don't use a bottom microphone on the snare. I like eliminating as much possible phase problems by using a minimum amount of microphones. I actually don't use an SM57 on snare, but rather an Audix i5. It has a much smoother frequency response, and a warmer low end. Great on electric guitars, by the way
