I'm still learning about the autistic community and find the whole concept that people could diagnose you based on limited interaction hilarious! My Ma kept quiet for almost 3 decades about her Aspie diagnosis because of the stigma from the neural-typicals. To think my daughter who only shows in her social development could be considered "Not Autistic" enough.... It seems retro active to the cause of acceptance and really stupid on the part of a group who are barley recognized as it is.
I like what this video talks about it, I just REALLY hate the animation and computer voice synthesizer. I realize the program that was used for this, I just REALLY HATE IT!
autism is real but aspergers isn't. ass pies get aspergers due to their excessive anti social behavior (the increase in their numbers goes hand in hand with greater use of computers throughout the recent decades) its a manufactured illness, something very controllable
Obviously if you knew what Autism was you wouldn't make this awful video. That's great you can see if someone is Autistic or not but it doesn't completely throw out the spectrum. Don't be so ignorant.
Someone already has claimed that Temple Grandin doesn't have autism. Youtube user kgaccount claims that instead, she has Aspergers (which is wrong because Aspergers is defined as essentially HFA without language delay, and Grandin had language delay).
I decided to get a formal diagnosis because I was tired of people telling me I was just like everyone else... maybe on the outside I am, but inside I'm an Aspie.
My son is diagnosed with Autism, but because he can now communicate and function at a "normal" level, people question his diagnosis. They correct me when I describe him as having Autism and say that he is actually "more Asperger's"... it's very annoying!
o.O My brother has autism, and it is real, I'm seeing that people are agreeing and liking the video, so go ahead make me thumbs down but autism does exist. Or they wouldn't have a commercial and it wouldn't have been on the news.
I'm not unique! [Joking] (Thinking Monty Python's Life of Brien ... "You're all different!" [reply:] "I'm not!".
Cool video. I think that autistics often question each others' autism [rating or even existence] because autism is the only [or major] identity they have ... and seeing very different people claiming the same identity might be confusing or threatening to their self-image and so on. Maybe. Just a thought. [Shrug]. I think people only attack others when they have low-self-esteem.
@davros1973 This might be true. Low self-esteem and the fact that all the people who are different from the others, are different from all the others who are different from all the others, too. Like you finally have a group you fit in, and than it's a group of people who are soooo much after details in certain topics, you will hardly find one you will agree with to a 100%. And this makes you feel alone again.

@davros1973 I think people, autistics included, sometimes forget that autism presents very differently in each individual who has it. There's also the problem that autistics struggle to fit in with people, and the irony that fitting in with other autistic people won't necessarily work either can be a big downer. One person's autism won't look like another's. And ya, insecurity and low self esteem cause people to become fearful and lash out
we are supposed to suffer and to be thankful for all that crap they want us to take. And if we don't want, we are said to be not really autistic. DAN doctor Doreen acts the same way.
Great video nicely done!

@MultiKitty11 I did never claim autism doesn't exist. There must be a misunderstanding. But don't remind me on that commercials ...
