Witam. Mam problem nie moge zgrac z niej filmu fire kupilem nowy przewod nową płytkę fire wire i nie działa jak i na win7 i XP. Prosze o pomoc, film jest bardzo potrzebny do pracy.
@nikoskurt To be honest Ive never looked into any lenses, I didnt think you could even put one on! If so, measure the diameter and just google that I suppose
You can use the video capture, import onto your PC, and then do a single frame 'snapshot' to create a photo - but the quality is quite low and might be too blurred in 'action' shots
@Crazyflasher10 What version of windows are you on? Try installing Windows Movie Maker, then plugging the firewire into your PC with the camera on playback/preview mode, it should pop up asking you how/which program you want to capture with. There is no specific driver for this device, no doubt a general one for windows with video that should already be installed (XP SP2+)
if ur using windows, when u plug the camera in the pc will ask u two options capture or import videos. before clicking import make sure that the camera is in Play/Edit mode then click import then u'll be asked three options 1)import all videos only 2) import then burn to dvd 3) import selected scenes only. choose any of the options then click start and thats it. pls let me know if it helps
Try first of all just plugging it in with the camera powered on (AC adapter to make sure it doesnt go flat in the process) and Windows (if this is your OS) will automatically ask what you would like to do.
Choose to capture the video with a program such as Windows Movie Maker. When on the program it will give you afew options - just follow on the screen prompts :-)
this cam sux..i got it for christmas and was disappointed..i was after a normal cam where u record to memory stick, and upload via usb to pc..the worker at goodguys lied and sold us this dodgy old fashioned cassete one..lol..taking it back and buying another
Its not as old as you think! Its digital cassette, so records just as well as some memory stick camcorders which compress the video below any decent quality. It can also be captured through iDV connections on a PC. The future is High Def solid state memory camcorders though, that will be what you should aim to buy these days, but maybe a camcorder like this 4/5 years ago.
hey i used the Sony DCR-HC27 to shoot a short movie and it ended up looking really good if you can get some good editing software theres no need for expensive cameras, check out my short action movie and let me know what you think of the camera work
Yes it depends on the editing software, but this was done simply with Windows Movie Maker which is basic and free - so the higher level programs could be even better, all comes down to the converting (transcoding) process. In terms of internet quality, you wont see much difference, they all have to be reduced to a certain bit rate to stream smoothly
Would a HP with that new Windows Vista have a firewire cable port? Im not familiar at all with Mini DV camcorders i just bought one a few days ago i usually use the Hard Disk Drive cameras but if you know can you please tell me? thanks.
Maybe, firewire ports arent that common for basic day to day use as USB can be used, plsu they come with iDV ports now which can be used instead of firewire :)
It was with an adapted numberplate suction cup, but I just got an advanced one from a company called Fast Films (google it) and its a good bit of kit. was around £45
Yeah make sure the camera is properly powered and connected to the firewire, also that the driver for the firewire is running properley- unless its fitted already to your PC and wasnt an expansion. With XP it should recognise the camcorder automatically
I´m hving problems transfering the data to the pc..i tried some softwares, but i didn´t manage.I have Windows Movie Maker...firewire has been installed , cable bought, but though the video seems to erase from the camcorder, i cannot find it on my pc..and the movie maker says it´s not compatible..
If your buying for basic domestic use I would definately say so yes, if your using it for extra bits and want it to do alittle more I would stretch your budget alittle to get the upgraded/later model
Its to show the image stabilizer in use, quality of image detail and sound (despite web reduction), and the zoom effectiveness. It was also at a time of testing a basic car camera mount, but it ALSO has a review in the video description!!!
he he... nah Im sorry its a Ford Fiesta Mk3, I drive a Megane Coupe now though (its in my other videos)! Yeah the cameras still running well for me, got an extra car mount kit as well - all good stuff!
thanks dude i was gonna order the camera on it's own but now i'll get the cable as well... but what port does the firewire cable go into and is it compatible with all PCs?
It goes into the firewire port, its like a rectangle shaped socket with two corners angled off (best description I can think of!). It will be on most new PCs, even if it easiest, you can buy a firewire PCI card for around £20-30 and install that :)
Well you would need to get the videos from your SD to your PC, so would need a card reader or transfer them through whatever put the videos on your SD in the first place! You will then need a DVD burner on your PC and a program to convert the SD video files with something like Nero Vision... alot of things involved in getting it done!
Other than that we dont have a Wal Mart as such over here, so have no idea if they can do this for you :)
so with dv minicassettes can you delete things off of them and another thing can you edit videos with this cam on your computer i think this is really nice
Yes you can record over existing recordings, it works in exactly the same way a VHS tape would. Plus the camcorder itself has a Play/Edit feature although Ive yet to test this as I always transfer it to my PC :-)
sow with that firewire port i can connect the camera to pc and copy the videos from tape?because i`m thinking to buy that firewire port but i`m not sure if i can copy the videos from camera
Yes you'll need firewire as its a high rate of data transfer from tape that USB cant handle. I have been told you can do it with USB but Im not convinced, Im sure they would have been using a data storage camera using SD or a HDD, not miniDV tape. Aswell as copying video to your PC with firewire, its also used for external hard drives etc so can come in handy!
yeah im thinking about this i had a handy cam something but ever ten minutes it needed the heads cleaning so im thinking of a new one and i been looking at this and it does look better than some of the reviews thanks for the video its healpful
No problem, all the videos Ive added from this video onwards were done with this camera so you can see how it manages wit other things.
The other day the camcorder did start to play back with grey lines, and wouldn't record as it said the heads needed cleaning - so thats 6 months for them to get dirty!
i have a dcr-sc100e its a bit anoing because the batrey lasts about 2 mins and it takes minidv but the qualitys great no skipping no rubish blurry mega pixsels
i have a DCR-HC27 and i think it's one of the best values for money. It's above the usual "home video" cameras and can be a great tool with the right lighting etc.
When you zoomed in, now that's impressing! We have the HC42 at school and it doesn't seem to be able to keep the image very sharp fully zoomed in. I'm looking for a MiniDV camera, and I've been looking at Sony's HC cameras and the Panasonic NV-GS27.
The speed wouldn't be too much of a problem I dont think, however the vibration would be as the image stablizer is not brilliant. I will do another test video soon if possible at greater speeds
lol its ok, I think its safe to say the US is alittle ahead of us in tech! This video isnt exactly a fair test on the camera as the gizmo supporting the camera in the car shakes alot, and after compression detail obviously lessens alot. Which camera did you go for?
i have used sony dcr-hsc23 for 1 year but it broke because the tripod didnt stand very good when the camera was on it one day, but i have orderd a dcr-hc27 now

I think I broke my firwire port, cause i tried to put a usb in it a few years ago...could i get it fixed?

Possibly, depends how badly damaged! Usually its a case of just bending the metal surrounds of the port back into place
