They have killed her out of jealousy.If they could not to have her ,to not have anyone.And the women in village saw as a threat and they were jealous also So the village suppressed her with a pretext .

@mgawad0 they killed her,because 60 years ago,in crete (particurally in the villages),women couldn't chose who would be their husband.Marriages were becoming through the fathers of girl and boy.In this film she seems that she didn't like that guy,so in the village believe that she is responsible for that guy's death.And of course they killed her through the matter that police wasnt as it is now,and the murderers could only be punished from the villagers themselves.
