I agree mate, Wastwater is as beautiful as anywhere on this Earth. I always hear talk about the scenery of 'other' countries - people just don't realise what is on their doorstep. Having travelled Oz, I saw no scenery that comes close to this place - and England fits into Oz 60 times!! Wastwater - my vote for England's favourite view!!! Cheers geezer.
I have happy memories of this wonderful place.
As a ten year old I climbed most of these peaks.

Yes, quite a fantastic place. I had it down as the best view in England long before it was voted such on ITV.

What a special place this is. Winding roads don't make it easily accessible but what a reward when you see the wonderful screes.
Best view ... and worst meal at Wasdale Head pub - although this was ten years ago!
