Beast Machines is an epic fail? Wow. It had great writing and forethought to me and while it is not a perfect Transformer representative, it was a great show, which was better written than the Unicron Trilogy and even some of the older cartoons.
And oh, some of the writers of Beast Machines wrote for Transformers Animated and Prime, which are also great series to me.
@Deathscythetransform the previous wars have deprived Cybertron of energon leading them to seek out energy sources from various planets during the Beast Wars era. technorganic planet and bodies FUSE technology and organics, creating a balance, and restoring energy sources. also, with criminals using shell programs being rampant during the Beast Wars era, if Silverbolt is any indication, technorganic removes shell programming and restores a transformers true persona.
Dinobot should have returned in this series so he could get revenge on Megatron. Plus I would have liked to have seen what the artists would have come up with for Dinobot's techorganic form

I actually liked the ending as well as this series, since it set up Cheetor as the second in command under Primal. And, for a good part of the show it also set him up in a rather Hot Rod-esque role as the one who would lead the Maximals in much the same way Rodimus did in the G1 series. Except without the emo crap they made Rodimus spew after the movie and prior to bringing Prime back in order to please the masses.
@booyah344 i think he rebuilt his body. not sure because the virus devolved them so i would imagine they lost those forums when they landed. so megatron based his design off it
I saw every episode of Beast Wars, but I never saw a single episode of Beast Machines. They always played it at a bad time, when I wasn't able to see it. Y'know, school.
The only people in this video I could recognize were Optimus Primal, Megatron, Cheetor, Rattrap and Waspinator. I'm guessing miss, "dark venom," is Blackarachnia. But who are the others?
@Celdrach His spark was put into a Tank Transformer body, named Tankor, in one episode he nearly becomes Rhinox again, but dies. Waspinator's spark was put into a Bike Transformer (who i think was called Downshift) and Silverbolts spark was put into a Jet Transformer called Jet Stream, but he became Silverbolt again.

@poppotaku ok, here's what really happened. they finally got to cybertron, then they take megatron to prison, then a celebration happens, but after a while, megatron escapes a rallies a group of predacons and start attacking the cities of cybertron, Soon after, the maximals try to ask the Tripedicus council to reason with megatron, but instead, they reveal their true intentions, complete domination over the maximals. I got more to this, but this is just a start
lol I remember the days of watching this as a kid, never liked the fact decipticons got the cool looking vehicles and autobots got the animals :P well that was my opinion 10 years ago XD
man i remember watching like 3 episodes of beast machines when i was a kid before i said screw it. i can see i made a good decision to not watch this stuff.
They say they went for a darker theme in BM, but it's not like there weren't dark episodes in Beast Wars (can't get much darker than shooting Optimus Prime in the face). It's just that Beast Wars had humor to round out the characters. And the show did highlight the value of nature and organics (Tigatron, the early humans) without being too much into the treehugger theme

Megatron not being able to fly had something to do with the whole techni-organic theme...the plot was that it messed up his body somehow ( still dragon form)
I'll be honest with you guys, I would've rather seen Cybertron get turned completely into metal by Megatron than to be disgustingly technorganic. The Transformers becoming technorganic doesn't make them the Transformers anymore! After all isn't it supposed to be ROBOTS in disguise!

@blizrfiz Well, when they "transformed" it looked more to me like some sort of trans-morphing rather than the actual transforming we saw in Beast Wars, G1 or pretty much every other Transformers cartoon. Also these guys weren't robots anymore, so they really aren't transformers. That's just my opinion on it all.

The simply fact is that Beast wars and Beast machines are sequels to the original G! series mixed in with some canon from the G1 comics. In Geenration Cybertron was an organic asteroid turned into a factory planet by the Quintessons to construct the first generation of cybertronions. Thus the Beast machines plot ties in with G! perfectly fine

@megamanx1800 He was captured when they crashlanded, along with Silverbolt. They had their sparks extracted and they got brainwashed. Rhinox became Tankor, while Silverbolt became Jetstorm. Despite his memory returning, Rhinox was still evil for a while until he dies, but he turns good again before he joins the Matrix.
i like the ending to this show not because the ending was great, but because it means the show ENDED

I dont get why people hate this so much. and i think its because everyone hated it so much, no one dares anymore to make a much different transformers.
ever since BM, we had the horrible japanese transformers, the promising but ultimately disappointing movie, the homage ridden Animated and now the lets-rehash-everything Prime.
Beast machines when where no other shows have went. its dark, its not filled with ridiculous jokes ( weed mom anyone?) and for once ended with a message.

Beast Machines was by far the worst of the Transformers. Maximals were by far the biggest bunch of pussies I've ever seen. They had NO weapons!

@ozne99 Except they did they where built in weapons mostly and Cheetor, Rhinox and Rat-trap had guns in Beast Wars, when they upgrades they where integrated. Granted they used them very little. But I am betting your a Bayformer fan.

The simply fact is that Beast wars and Beast machines are sequels to the original G! series mixed in with some canon from the G1 comics. In Geenration Cybertron was an organic asteroid turned into a factory planet by the Quintessons to construct the first generation of cybertronions. Thus the Beast machines plot ties in with G! perfectly fine

@minimullen Well, you have to think, this show was Organic vs Technology. Besides, you have to admit, it was awesome hell to see Optimas Primal take on Megatron in a giant body that originally belonged to him since Beast Wars.

@lfgeoghegan She was a Maximal before or at least with the Maximals even as a protoform. If you recall when she was introduced she was given a predacon personality make over. So who knows maybe this was who she was before as a protoform. Remember Tarantulus made her a Black Widow because he thought the form would make her sexy and loyal to another spider.

@megamanx1800 He was captured when they crashlanded, along with Silverbolt. They had their sparks extracted and they got brainwashed. Rhinox became Tankor, while Silverbolt became Jetstorm. Despite his memory returning, Rhinox was still evil for a while until he dies, but he turns good again before he joins the Matrix.
