I love it! My learning curve was about 3 minutes and I'm not a surfer. This is the greatest lower body workout and it's peaceful too.

Wow that water is glassy, the lakes here are never that smooth. Looks like fun. Maybe the cool people will say I'm not cool, but I think I want to do it. Can anybody with experience tell me if it be done on a choppy lake by someone who can barely stay upright on land?

SUP is a blast.

There will always be those people who are gonna slam anything new/different. Years ago, longboarders slammed shortboarders, skiers slammed snowboarders, trail runners slammed mountain bikes, etc, etc, etc,

SUP is here to stay. It's fun, it's hard, it's a great workout, and it makes even junk surf a blast. There is gonna be a learning curve for all parties.

FYI, I still traditional surf too. More options = more fun. Deal.
