Some of the pennywhistles I've ever used would be a suasato D along with Eric the Flutemaker's these are some of the best. I also like the English versions wich produce a much "airier" sound

this might be a silly question, I just started out. When in key of Bb, you used the Bb whistle, but would it sound different if I use the D whistle? do i need to convert the notes?

@renkaze To play the same notes you would have to transpose and this would be a difficult transposition. or you could just play it in a key that suiits you. Try playing along to the end bit thats done on D whistle.

@lolsa123 Anyone starting laying should start on a D. The holes are a reasonable distance part and there are lots of tunes played in D or G which are easier on a D whistle.

@horse99lover It starts on a Generation Bb and after the key change its a Feadog D. Both very cheap and easily available.

What pennywhistle in particular is this one.. It is lower than most .. Im really looking forward to getting one. I want a lower sounding one l ike this. Thinking of a D aluminum or something :X help meee
