@Lambretta1995 Shovel hook really, you can tell by the rotation of the hips 'shoulder whirl' and the abscence of the 'upward surge' it is not a pure hook because of the angle true, but a shovel hook nonetheless.

its clear that it was a combination of both, the angle makes it both a hook and uppercut. It's a partial hook due to the positioning of the actual hand, it's a uppercut because it came up in from under the chin, it should be called a sweeping hook or an uppercut angler these terms would describe the punch better but both parties are right and so was the punch!!!!

The bloke who copped it was lucky if he didn't come out of that fight with serious neck injuries. Awesome power and that blow came from the ground. And the guy was dazed by the punches he caught from 01-05 seconds.

Plus he pulled out of the combination right 'cos he saw the bloke was hurt. (he held the straight right under his chin)

If he had laid on the whole combo, he would have hit a bloke out on his feet and possibly broken his neck.

I guess boxing is bullshit and mma is the real deal. Personally I like the excitement of a fight that continues at a heated pace. I like it when a fighter is knocked down, gets up and goes on to win. I like the drama of guys fighting through adversity and exhaustion. MMA is usually circle circle circle punch, pounce wave it off. There you go, 30 seconds of action. Like watching football highlights without any context or excitement from the rest of the game. Lame.

now i prefer mma, with the jujutsu scrambles, submission attempts, devastating ko's, leg kicks, elbows, just so many dimensions to the game, i'm serious go and find the bj penn vs matt hughes 2, no fight fan of any kind will deny the excitement in that fight, from begining to end, a little dude came up a weight class and beat the shit out of the heavier CHAMP for two rounds, he was a small jujutsu guy and the champ at the time was a muscle bound behemoth, that was a great fight, mma is not b.s
