First, get the Reflect spell. Set everyone in the corner in the L formation (Koudelka at the bottommost far right square, with James in front of her and Edward next to him.) Pray that Edward does not get knocked back after the Gargoyle slaughters him and James, and with Koudelka behind her two fallen allies the Gargoyle cannot reach her. Afterwards spam Reflect like mad until the Gargoyle starts taking zero damage from it. From there just cast your strongest spells and he's dead.

wow thanks. i actually defeated gargoyle with rogers staff, and passed the game, but im passing it again but on my pc, with an emulator. ill use this technique! thanks a lot! :)

hhey, i got this ending several years ago. i knew there's something wrong with this ending but i couldn't figure out whta it is.. i just thought that this maybe happen because i did not defeat the annoying-childish-twin-corpse.­.

If you still could get in the area with many statues, you could take pendant, pendant locating near fountain/Savepoint. But after that Savepoint will corrupt.

regarding this i read it from gamefaq as well, that is still possible to obtain the pendant this way without starting all over, but i don't know how true, you might wanna give it a try

I followed your instructions and I`ve got many cat`s eyes from those cats, but no pendants (a couple of hours fighting there), so I think I have to start over again thx for the help btw.

No, theres a black cat in the room with Ellaine that has her pendant, just run around till you get the encounter.

This is one of the few rpgs that has a bad ending that results in your characters dying horribly ^^

You are supposed to be able to get it by beating up on some cat nearby, if you didn't get it earlier.

There's a save point on the roof, just outside of Elaine's room. You'll need to search around, but on that point is a black cat that drops the pendant. I haven't played the game in a year but if I remember correctly it looks like a block stuck among all the black tiles. Koudelka will have to jump up to get it (action button). Faqs on Gamefaqs should help you with this, though.
