Luv the format of the tutorial but....right off the bat I you mention to apply the FixNCR reg file and I can't do that. The regedit.exe program won't come up and all that happens is that the file comes up in notepad.

What's my next step for this, please?

You need to try to merge the file, if you cannot restart your computer in safemode with networking and then apply the merge. After you merge the file proceed with UVK to locate the virus and remove it from your computer, then follow the rest.

The file to fix the registry hasn't worked, so I'm not able to run the programs to kill the root. I've reset my computer after merging the Registry File FixNCR Reg, but it's still not allowing any program to run. You mentioned assisting remotely, is that a possibility? Thanks!

i unhid all the files successful nevermind that question before and my computer is nearly back to normal however every few minutes malwarebytes will pop up and say it blocked a potentially malicious website and it keeps repeating this so obviously i still have the original virus ive already done a bunch of scans but i cant seem to remove it

Hey so I followed most of your tutorial pretty well. But I couldn't find the "obvious" virus file. I deleted what I thought was the virus but I think it was actually a file with my ms security essentials because I cannot start it. I havent finished all of the tutorial yet but my computer works now... any tips would be appreciated. Im not very computer savvy..

What if you deleted a file that you thought it was the virus, and it told you to reboot, which i did, then when it started up it was just black, all i can do is open up the windows task manager....help!!!

Try starting up in safemode, if that does not work open explorer.exe via task manager, that may work. Tell me if you need more assistance

Uva.exe

This file is usually found in your documents, that is where the root of the file is found.

Correction: found out you have to do a restart after importing to the registry, or the files won't show up in the system when you go to search for it.

Please add a note to the video for clarification if you feel like it.
