Consider that I didn't have money to hire a lawyer, I was at the mercy of the courts, and the public defender refused to do due dilligence, this was a matter of my word against the police officers, there was no corroperetive evidence against me. I was charged for resisting arrest and asaulting a police officer, thoe they had no legal reason for approaching me. And I didn't assult the officers, but they did ruff me up pretty good! and that criminal record is still a barrier for me today.

I understand that. I was also arrested and charged and lied on by a white police officer...and I'm white! So I think that this goes deeper than race. I agree we need police oversight. Consider that I didn't have money to hire a lawyer, I was at the mercy of the courts, and the public defender refused to do due dilligence, this was a matter of my word against the police officers, there was no corroperetive evidence against me. I was charged for resisting arrest and asaulting a police officer, thoe they had no legal reason for approaching me. And I didn't assult the officers, but they did ruff me up pretty good! and that criminal record is still a barrier for me today.

At the end $15 million from the U.S. treasury was given to Mexico for California and "New" Mexico. It really had nothing to do with "Nopolean".
