Some of you "youngsters" need to do some research and know what a great musician Dave Mason is. Your comments are ignorant in many cases. He's still cookin' 30 or 40 years after I saw him in concert the first time. That should tell you something. If you're gonna be a music critic, at least get an education before you comment. I'm afraid a few "youngsters" limit their listening to the last 6 or 8 years. What a mistake!
Thank you, Dave! What a treat to see you playing this song for J-R. I had the album this song was on when I was in my teens & I loved this song, the feeling it evoked & inspired in me. Several years later I was introduced to MSIA & wondered if the title of this song was coincidental. Jsu, thank you for filming & sharing this. Love you mucho.
That is almost laughable, umm how many people here posting are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Dave is.
How many here have recorded with Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones? Dave has. Oh and the list of performers just keeps going on.
How many people here have multiple grammy's? Dave has a few.
This man is a living legend in music; please be a little respectful. He has more then earned it.
Looks like a corprate event. Alot of musicians do events like these. They are great money makers for artist. Like private gigs. Dave may be old, but he is a great artist and performer. Can't take that from him. He probably made more at this one gig than an average person makes in a year.
Give the guy a break---he's almost 70. He put this out in '77 on Let It Flow--go listen to that version before judging this one and remember, he's not standing in a recording studio here. The mixdown of the original made it sound better than just about everyone else doing AOR at the time. A million dollar sound for the 70's--very clean and layered.
dont give up his day job?.....thats dave mason from Traffic...he's played with clapton, all the greats...was the guitarist for Fleewood Mac for years....I just saw him live at the Scottish Rite theatre in NJ....amazing, amazing guitar player.....
umm..yes thats Dave Mason...I just saw him over the weekend at the Scottish Rite Theater in NJ....thats definetly him...age is catching up with him, but his show was amazing...very amazing....
