A tank, also called MBT (Main battle tank), is not the same as an IFV (infantry fighting vehicle) or APC (Armored Personnel Carrier). An IFV/APC are designed to carry infantry (among other things) to the frontlines safely, where they then are capable to stay and assist said infantry.
It's not really a direct assault vehicle, but more a fire-support vehicle. :)

the hummer is a fearly good jeep, but that is all it is. it has nothing to do in a warzone where its open up as a can for the slitest luttle boom. its old and newer types are way better then the hummer, even american ones.

It wasnt a civilian designed vehicle dumbass, it is made for combat, it was drawn on the chalk board when we decided we wanted a vehicle with bigger payload and range capabilities then the wiilies jeep. And its specifications were set for European Combat because there were we fougfht most. yet, it is still a rugged powerfull beast
it is made as a jeep and jeeps are not meant to go into combat at a big scale for the brunt of the army. the americans got 113, bradleys and strykers for that job, but they are not very good for the job either.
A HMMWV can easily outrun almost any IFV ICV etc out there, and one single humvee can take out any type of armor out there, even a LEo II tank with the right round. As a matter in fact the HUMVEE was one of the vehicles that destroyed an assload of all the Iraqi armor in the gulf war
Sounds like you have never served in war. I am sure those soldiers would have preferred the protection and firepower of the CV9035 with airburst proxy rounds. They down breakdown as often as the Bradley;s do and have superior firepower.
@ClamTrafficJam28 you can equip the CV90 series with TOW:s, it has been done for testing, but no army have deployed it on field-units because they don't consider AT duty as a part of the IFVs role.
If you have TOW, why not Stingers, and katyusha rockets? The answer is that specialized vehicles are often better then multi-taskers.

You need to consider the purpose. If you need a RECCE unit or MATG you would not put them in an IFV and vice versa.
About LEO II vs HMMWV. I can take out Brock Lesnar with a lucky punch, but he can take me out with an arsenal of moves. That really does not matter.
