i choose the one that best words the definition. i think it was pretty obvious that i wasn't impressed from the start, so trying to make me ''understand the grandeur'' was pretty pointless itself. i'm not saying it's a bad song. i just don't like it at all, but that's just my opinion. i'm sure the majority thinks it amazing and i'm happy for them.

@sirmidor many a song, especially songs that progress or "build up" as this one does, don't impress me at the start but once I realize or am informed of the effect the artist was trying to achieve with it I begin to appreciate it. I'm sorry though that when you listen to a song once and make a "concrete" decision there is no going back on it. Some of my now favorite songs (again especially songs similar to this, an example being floyd) didn't impress me much from the start

The word "Schism" refers to the split or separation of something, usually refering to a break of communion between two sects of Christianity. It is also used as a split within a non religious organization, such as a government, or more broadly simply as a separation of two people, hence the lyrics "Between supposed lovers, between supposed brothers"
