  • ITS THE CAN CAN CAN

  • When I heard Toulouse speaking in another language, I just about died laughing.

  • I didn't know she sang lolol

  • You know El Duke sounds so much more dramatic than The Duke in the English version. I don't know why, just does.

  • The best Musical

  • 4:56 Looks like her consumption killed her too early.

  • EL DUKE

  • why did you skip it!??!?!?!?

  • lmao i thought it was english...and then it turns out to be spanish lol

  • Square cut or pear-shaped, these rocks don't lose THEIR shape! DIAMONDS ARE A GIRL'S BEST FRIEND!

    hahaha this song is awesome!

  • can someone post the link to the english version of this clip-thanks!

  • I really laughed my head off. I didn't expect for them to speak Spanish.

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE THANKS FOR UPLOADING THIS SONG YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE!! I wish there were more movies like these!

  • Great song, too bad the terrible dubbing made it unwatchable.

  • nicole is just way more classier than christina is when singing this. her high voice doesn't fit, but that's just my opinion.

  • @RaroooKidd i AGREE

  • i hate to bring disgrace to the legend that is marilyn monroe...but this is just sooooo much better :S <3

  • El Duque actually sounds a lot more evil than The Duke.

  • Her Entrance Is Magesticccc. Such Great Actress

  • I LOVE Nicole Kidman but her "Ow!" is ridiculous

  • @nicole8523 I think it's sexy!

  • Oh God. Satine is just too sexy. I listened to the original the other day, and it's nice for what it was. Sorry Monroe! I love Moulin Rouge.

  • @elizabethpdot Don't worry, it wasn't actually Monroe who sang it.

  • @CrayonCupcakes Yes, it most certainly was. Marilyn sang the entire song herself except for the line "square cut or pear shaped, these rocks don't lose their shape," which was dubbed by Marni Nixon.

  • This is the best cover of any song EVER. It's better than the original (Sorry Monroe!) :DD

  • Holy wow, I much prefer this version to any other version... and I already ADORE Marilyn. But Nicole is just too sexy! (this is coming from a straight girl)

  • Well that sucked as way to ruin a good song

  • Seriously, doesn't Nicole look like Amy Adams with red hair?

  • Used better in this moulin Rouge than in the original?:

    No seriously i am asking?

  • i know every word to this song=)

  • why does the gun make an about to be fired sound when it is being shown in its holster?

  • oh good!!!! the DUKE!!!

  • it is brilliant but why so many news?

  • God I love how the redid this song. Granted Marilyn Monroe's version will always be a staple in the movie business, but this is fantastic. So much more...savage I guess. You can hear it in Kidman's voice, the way she adds the growl to some of the lyrics. Love it!

  • je danse sur cette musique elle est super !!

  • lol. EL DUQUE.

  • you gotta have long legs to impress the boys.

  • And the moral of the story is don't wears corsets

  • @macjunky123 The corset isn't why she fainted. She had tuberculosis.

  • @AngelofMusic101 really? i would imagine that a corset would cause some one to faint. and remember she said "these stupid costumes" at the end, so thats why i assumed she fainted

  • @macjunky123 That's what she THOUGHT was the reason, but then she coughed up blood.

  • @AngelofMusic101 Love your username. So much love.

  • @macjunky123 I don't think the corset is the problem. I think it's, y'know, the tuberculosis she's dying of.

  • why is the men talking like that (foreign?)

  • @mslmfao1000 i think its spanish, and it would probs be cause the language is set in spanish

  • @squii28 yes it's spanish

  • The Duke. Hahahaha I love how they pronounce it!!!!! :D

  • this movie is completely cracked out. The golden rule of any musical is allow one to actually look at the staging of the musical number - this film doesn't allow anyone to ever do it with it's absurd camera cutting.

  • Anyone know where i can get this version for karaoke :/ i'm planning to perform this song but i don't like the soundtrack version.... the making love part will be reaaaallllly awkward

  • God, Nicole Kidman looks great in this movie!

  • @LittleRe012 she looked the best shes ever looked in any of her movies...i loved the red hair on her. She looks much better with that color than the pale blonde shades she seems to favor lately.

  • chelzeydarling If you didn't like the movie, then you must have asolutely zero appreciation for anything artistic. This was a very visually spectacular movie, with so much attention to detail. Sure it was very quirky, but that's Baz's style, and it all fit together so beautifully.

  • It's actually called Sparkling Diamonds, haha just sayingg, but I adore this movie <3

  • Wat movie is this?

  • @katAmedrano moulin rouge

  • Wow...I love Nicole Kidman's voice. Very beautiful! ^^

  • @ 0:22 did anyone else notice when she says "the French are glad to die for love..." it flashes her death scene?

  • I thought the movie was crap! But I do love nicole kidmans version of Diamonds are a girls best friend = )

  • me encanta esta pelicula es mi favorita y nicol kidman es estupenda esta cancion la baile en mi escuela la adoro...

  • "PRECISAMOS INTERAGIR COM O MUNDO"

ELES SÃO BONS E NÓS TAMBÉM".

    A MUSICA É UNIVERSAL"

  • 2:35 i love the way the she sings there!

  • THE BEST MOVE"

  • I love this version...Nicole Kidman put her own spin on the wonderful Ms. Monroe version without being her! I love it cause it's her voice

  • does anyone know what desease it was that she had? i forget.

  • @MrFreesays Consumption, it's tuberculosis nowadays.

  • why do voice overs always make the person sound hot?!

  • okay, i have no idea how people can chose christina's version over this. Kidman's pipes work much better for this song.

  • @jennhock Does she actually do a version of the song? Cause in the movie, she sings, maybe thirty seconds. In any case, I agree with you.

  • @jennhock I agree, and Marilyn's are the best. :)

  • @jennhock nicole kidman sounds like she has done a lot of work on her voice, christina is natural.

  • @jennhock yeah but Marilyn still owns this song.

  • I love it when she sings in the beginning & says "French are glad to die for love" and we see her dying. It's like she died for love when at first she really did want only diamonds X) haha

  • is that ewen mcgregor? *however you spell the darn name!*

  • @nimetheartsmakeup

    Yes, it's Ewan ;)

  • @milady93 ahh, awesome, he's pretty hot ;)

i always thought it was leonard dicaprio :L

  • this is better than marylin

  • it so annoying you can get the last part anywhere on mp3!!

  • @lilmizzy2008 i mean can't lol

  • Awsome video

  • I love how she paid tribute to Monroe yet she doesn't tries to be her. She does her own thing & it's just works well. =)

  • im dressing up as satine. Who wants to join the party?

  • SHE'S PRETTY WITH THAT HAIR! LOVE HER RED HAIR....

  • I want a go on that swing!haha

  • She did a good job covering a Marilyn Monroe song(:

  • OMG.............

    /watch?v=rI2v31F1DS8

  • simplemente wow....¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • Satine: Will he invest?

Ziedler:After spending the night with you, how could he possibly resist?

Satine: What's his type? Wilting flower, bright and bubbly, or smoldering temptress?

Ziedler: I'd say smoldering temptress. Remember, a real stage, in a real theater, and you'll be...

    Satine: A real actress.

    ---------

Satine: I believe you are expecting me?

    Christian: Yes...

    ---------

    Ziedler: No!

  • Satine: Come and get me, boys. -------- Ziedler: Excuse me. -------- *scrambling* Satine: Is the Duke here? Ziedler: Yes. Satine: Where? Ziedler: He's the one Tolouse is shaking a hanky at. Tolouse: Excuse me, Christian, may I borrow? Satine: Are you sure? Ziedler: Let me check. That's the one, chickpea! (continued next comment)
  • Translation: Tolouse: It's her, the Sparkling Diamond --------- Christian: But someone else was to meet Satine that night-- Ziedler's investor-- The Duke. --------- Duke: When am I going to meet the girl? Harold: After her number I've arranged a private meeting, just you and mademoiselle Satine, totally alone. Tolouse: After her number I've arranged a private meeting, just you and mademoiselle Satine, totally alone. Christian: Alone? Ziedler & Tolouse: Totally alone. (continued next comment)

  • i dont really like it but its ok :/

  • *spanish guy accent* el Duke

    haha :D

  • Diamonds are a Boy's dear friend as well ;)

  • why the hell is the first person speaking in a different language and Satine is speaking english?

  • @CelestialKatniss Because he SPEAKS a different language while she SINGS in English. It doesn't make sense to sing a translated song.

  • at first i watched this movie when i was seven years old

  • the spanish voiceover sounds like Spanish buzz lightyear from toy story 3

  • f****** spanish!!!

  • lol her hat still stays on when she liying down, its glued to her head

  • @squii28 lol i think they actually use pins for that, like they do for fedoras

  • @squii28 hat pins

  • @squii28

or it is perfectly fitted. Cowboy hats don't come off even when they bungy jump, they are that fitted:)

  • @squii28 or its a clip on hat

  • @squii28 Like in Indiana Jones (:

  • @squii28 No, back in thoose days they had some kind of pinns for that.. they were stuck trough the hat, and also trough her hair, pretty much like some clips that stay in your hair today, you see her pull thoose out when she is changing her outfits ;)

  • @BGabrielle1993 ok, what ever.. every 1 can just stop telling me what is "presicely" correct.. just pointing out a fact, her hat stays on when shes lying down

  • @squii28 its actually a hat clip

  • @squii28 There is such a thing as hair pins?

  • I still like Marilyn's a lot better but Nicole did a great job!

  • I just watched this last night for the first time! AMAZING!

  • Marilyn, such a big inspiration in pop culture. I just love this film...

  • My Spanish isn't that good yet, but I still love it!

  • i remember i watched this when i was about thirteen and this film has became a truly obsession!! i cried like only a teenager can do!

  • LOVE THIS! I was watching this movie at age 5 and I was obsessed with this number. I just liked the colors and the music. :) Now that I'm 15 it's so much better.

  • Ummmm I love this movie And it would be amazing as a play but for school noo. I think this is a little worse than rent

  • Very special cene. Very good! The best.

  • hahahahah dukeee 0:54

  • I wish we could do Moulin Rouge for our school play...

  • @XxCarlieCullenxX

I don't think doing a play about the love story of a hooker living in a brothel would be the best idea for a school play. lol

  • @ONofaceNicole some schools did RENT.....so I am sure some could do this

  • Im Spanish and I like this its is my languajeee thanksss

  • I hated the fact that they cut out her vocal intro in the soundtrack, it's simply sublime....

  • I love this song! I even saw the whole movie! ^_^ but... she died in the end... The guy and her even love each other... I think its because of the clothing she wears that are too tight or maybe its because of her singing too much its very sad.... -_-'

  • @Cynthia143cute She died of Tubercolosis

  • for some reason i imagine myself bursting out in class singing this song O.o

  • @MrGReEnHeRsHeY You too, huh? xD

  • @AsianPersuasion21 lmaoo yeahh haha

  • i wached this movie last night ! i loved all the songs

  • @JorgeLorenzoSpain100,

You want some one to speak Spanish to you? Alright.

¿Por qué son tú muy stupido?

Y, el burro sabe mas qué tú.

You're not the only Hispanic watching this video, you ignorant son of a b!tch.

  • @Nanimitzuki90970 wouldn't it "¿Por qué eres tan estupido?" and instead of el burro, wouldn't it be un? not that I'm helping the other dude, but you probably wanna make a comeback with proper spanish.

  • @dracomance3, actually, el burro is correct, because that insult was created in a time period where everyone owned a donkey, so in which they were refering the person being insulted's donkey. stupido was a typo, i did mean estupido. My use of tu was correct in that format, my not using eres is what you are correct about though. So, I was correct for the most part.

  • 2:05 Material Girld from Madonna cool

  • Why is there no version of this that's in all English on youtube? o_O Or, am I just not finding it? Because, the Spanish is kind of irritating.

  • @kanamihotomi Thats European Spanish n its anythin but irritatin...clueless fool

  • @JorgeLorenzoSpain100

    Clueless? Speak for yourself "irritatin"

It doesn't matter where it's from, it IS irritating.
