Battery life is very good. I use it every day for calls, SMS and as an alarm and i usually only have to charge it about once a week, sometimes twice if i use it a lot for internet and calls during the week.
its looks good on the clips in real its not firstly you need both hands to use it its for someone like HULK anyway i gave my one to a student on gumtree for free
i got the e51 after 3 hours, had enough and changeing it for nokia 6500 e51 is not for a rapid user what i mean is its not as good it looks and its a bit to chunky
I've just got a 6500 to play with and it feels a bit like a toy. I cannot work out how to get BlackBerry on it yet. Horses for courses I guess. It's the BlackBerry email and familiar Nokia menus that I love most about the E51.
anyone who has this phone please advice on this - is it true (as she says) you can reassign special function keys to different perform functions? say, specifically, email button does the same stuff but for sms messages instead?
Yes - definately for SMS. The envelope is really a messages button and you specify which is the default mailbox to use. SMS is actually the default until you setup BlackBerry or a POP3 email account.
WoW ! The tips are very useful. Thanks for that :]

On an E series - I'd say the E71. Otherwise something like the Xda Orbit 2 as it comes with Sat Nav.

do you need credit to send emails?
teamassociatedtee4 2 years ago
They are sent across the GPRS/EDGE data connection, so you'll need credit for the data usage.

It looks good AND is too chunky?
I've just got a 6500 to play with and it feels a bit like a toy. I cannot work out how to get BlackBerry on it yet. Horses for courses I guess. It's the BlackBerry email and familiar Nokia menus that I love most about the E51.
bizemail 3 years ago
I don't think that this is true. Coz Nokia E51 is one of the most attractive slim phone in the market today.
