I'm a huge fan of Al Bowlly's and I would love to hear more of his restored songs if that is possible. Thank you letting us hear what one would have at the Cafe de Paris in London.
This has the makings of a typically off- the- wall Dr Who episode- sinister android dance orchestra in a space and time travelling ballroom. No, seriously, hats off to you for a really original and inventive piece- love to see how it develops, and I never knew that young Cliff Richard did Al Bowlly covers, either!
I have attempted to make a happiness pie however I am unable to obtain the necessary ingredients. My deepest apologies for this failure. Thank you for your time.
Al Bowlly always shows emotion in his work. Ray Noble even recalled a few times where Al finished a romantic song and turned from the mic with a tear in his eye.
The quality of the recording is very good and I liked your video. I can tell you put a lot of time into it. I dont mean this derogatory; but, something about it is a little eerie. Great work though and I gave it 5 stars!
No more eerie than your typical cartoon. Even computer animation can be a challenge - for a beginner using a free application, this is really rather good.
Your trumpet solo needs a mute!! I know you are a work in progress... I just think these are kind of creepy looking!!! I want him to breath and move more as he's singing!!
Over all I love the visual... the spot light, the palms... very elegant!
I love that you post this stuff. Thank you so much. And I bet you work really hard on the animation. But I have to say, honestly, the animation seems really robotic and creepy. I'd be happy just watching a victrola spinning. :-) Either way, thank you for your efforts.
It's like watching the old "Carousel of Progress" at Walt Disney World! And of course its especially creepy since all these performers are long dead, I'm sure...Singer looks like Chris Reeve...

I still think the 'Roger Ruskin Spear' version was the best....IMO.

I only spend a few hours a week making videos for youtube. I used Daz Studio to create the 3D animations. It's easy.

Well done, especially that audio mix.
And "eerie" isn't a bad thing. Such totally happy-wappy lyrics, but the singer shows no emotion ? = cool.

Bonzo Dog Band did this song in the 70's, didn't they?

Sorta.
It was actually on Roger Ruskin Spear's magnificent post-Bonzo L.P. "Electric Shocks".
Buy a copy on CD, sit back, smile and have a nice slice of Happiness Pie!

This is getting under my skin. I love the 30s. I reminds me of Dr. Phibes. In a good way.
