O all of the GM Vortec engines are great except the 5 cylinder they need work with the heads.

yeah i know....they had it great with the 4.3...and i had a 2.2 inline 4 that ran up to over 300,000 then they came out with that inline 5 thats a complete piece. it made those colarados junk if u ask me

ive always had pretty good luck with the 4.3s we took a stock v64.3 from a 98zr2 s10 and put it in a 84 2wd s10...put a supercharger on it and a nice exaust and it was a hell of a truck to drive around...waist most v8 s10s at the local meet in dayton ohio...took it to kill kar race way and had a blast destroying those stock 350s...but none the less the 350 gm 5.7 will always be the best engine ever made

what a great sandrail!! How much HP is it putting out? One side sounds a little stronger, have you taken a thermal reading on both sides? I worked on a Shelby Cobra and we had that prob, the fuel rail on the passanger side wasnt flowing the same ammount of fuel and was too lean so it was running 30 degrees hotter.
