  • jon how u'd know if a t's is female or a male without holding it

  • @wereppin209

you examine there molt. I mad a video on how to sex them without holding them

  • Comment removed

  • which one of them are the most friendly?

  • @WolfteamFans

    B.albopilosum

  • @Jon3800 ok.

  • who wants to send us some of your beautiful T slings to australia????

  • @upinsmoke656

won't be able to. I need permits and documentation just to send Ts across the border

  • Avicularia fasciculata is changed to A. diversipes

  • i am aware of that. Its a species that will never be in my collection anymore

  • Why, you didnt like it?

  • Its a very fragile species. It died off in a month, I paid somewhere in $120 range for her. Its a nice species, but its too fragile

  • I just bought a big juvenile female for 40 bucks.

I belive they are very sensitive to humidity (80-90%) and such.

  • they must be breeding this species like crazy over there or you bought it from a person they needed to sell it ASAP. $40 here gets you a decent size avicularia avicularia unsexed.

I made a big mistake of purchasing it for 1/2 inch for $120, my dealer got it from an import and wasn't bred here which would cost less. All avicularia are susceptible to humidity and need considerable ventilation. They have a higher mortality rate as slings, so I'm closing my doors to this genus.

  • All T´s are cheap here in Sweden =)

Adult G. pulchra fem i payed 50 bucks, juv fem E. campestratus 15bucks, adult fem A. versicolor 25 bucks ect.

    G. roseas and L. parahybana are almost free here.

  • ok.

  • my pair of 1/2 inch A.laeta are the my saving grace for avic slings. If they die on my like the last 4 avics, I won't buy unless they are 3 inches are larger.

Its hard because avics die of sudden avic syndrome, which was the likely cause of death for my A.diversipes

  • A. Diversipes

  • Nice to see new updates with your eight legged freaks, Jon. I'm %100 sure my irminia slings are approaching molt. Their abdomens have not shrank down at all after over 2 weeks without food and the dark stripes have become a lot darker.

  • I also like to think of my spiderlings as female until proved wrong.

  • that happened with my GBB, female until it matured out into male

  • That's too bad. But I suppose if you're wanting to breed, that's necessary. In case you use yahoo chat and don't mind giving live advice, my yahoo ID is misswinelover. I have an issue with my Avicularia avicularia that I'd like to ask you about......just in case.

  • i just bought tarantulaguy1976's GBB. I don't have yahoo, but I do have msn messenger

  • my sister said that u r HOT!!...again

  • awesome colorful Ts congrats and 5 stars man

  • the togo star burst plz cus i am getting one

  • Be very careful, don't bother handling it. Lightning fast, quite aggressive and potent venom. If you have experience of keeping with fast and semi-aggressive Ts go for it , if not stay away for now

  • can you do a vid on your star burst because i am getting one plz jon and are they a good trantula

  • I can do one if I can get my adult female out. I'm assuming the starbust you're talking about is the togo starburst baboon. I would like you to give me the scientific name for this tarantula, because baboon species tend to be overused (so I don't know if you mean H.maculata (togo starburst) or P.murinus (orange baboon).

  • * Starburst name tends to be overused.

In any case, if this would be your 2nd taranula, this is NOT a good tarantula to get right away as these are old worlds tarantulas that have nasty tempers (worse than your G,rose) some can be very fast and pack potent venom.

If you're referring to Heteroscodra maculata (togo starburst baboon), these are arboreal species that get up to about 5 inches. Nice colors on this species, but highly venomous and can be quite aggressive. Extremely agile

  • what do you do with the molts ?

i have mine in a large shadow box but every time i open and close it the molts get all fuc^ed up sence thay are dryer than leafs

  • I keep the largest ones in a shoebox

  • fanged.... : O scary

  • wish I can help you out, but never bred any :(

  • Jon I just love watching your spider videos, they are colorful, as much as I love animals I dunno if I'd handle one or not, although we have the small jumping spiders here and I've saved many of them by using a paper towel and setting them free outside. Should i start calling you Spiderman, lol (bad Don bad).

  • lol, I am the Spiderman :)

  • Lol, yes you are!!

  • YAY!

  • Lol, you are so cool Jon!

  • my rose got out today. i looked down and there she was in threat posture on my chair.

  • wow, that's pretty scary man :)

  • yea jon, ive told you some of the horror storie from my little rosea. i swear to god i would rather handle s calceatum than fuzzy. well maybe not, but lividum definitely. she HATES me. I didnt think they could recognize different people, but my gf can handle her with no problems. hell if dee takes the lid off the kk, shes pawing at the sides trying to get out. I take the lid off, threat posture. What a little bitch. fuck it. i want a red knee. and i hope it loves me and hates her. lol
