  • Mystic Grill from Vampire Diaries @ 1:19

  • This is my home!

  • cool i live there i see this every day

  • The first few episodes of, "The Dukes of Hazzard," were also filmed there.

  • I think it's neat to see all of this everyday. It's so neat to live here. Even if there is not anything really to do.

  • sweet music sweet town!

  • do not visit covington! really! there is nothing 2 do here!! ive lived here my whole life (17yrs) and its boring!

  • I went to the square for the first time yesturday at night, it's a pleasant little town with nice southern charm. The town's not mindblowing or nothing, but it's very pedestrian friendly with wide sidewalks and the clocktower is pretty at night. I live in monroe and it's definitely much much nicer (I hate downtown monroe).

  • @esca8652

Cool. Very pedestrian friendly indeed. I've been to downtown Monroe once; that's been awhile ago.

  • I really wanna visit there for my birthday and Christmas presents. I live in Thailand currently so My dad is probs gonna be like NO, but my mom also watches the show so she will be on my side hopefully:)) I love the vampire diaries, seriously. If I visit, I would go crazy becaouse I love it that much. It would be crazy if I could be an extra for an episode, like if I could randomly drink coke in the backround while filming a scene at the Mystic Grill.Lol, my little ramble is kinda weird,I know:D

  • @KELLYDUST123

Nothing wrong with dreaming, because sometimes dreams come true. And, yeah, I ramble too. :-)

  • @KELLYDUST123 I live there and my sister was an extra.

  • The Dukes of Hazzard . Hazzard County's birth Town first 5 episodes shot there November 1978 Aired January 26th 1979 :-) 0:15 is where the General Lee 1 jumped the Police car yee haw then threw that town.

  • @14OhDangg

Just some music from the "In the Heat of the Night" movie.

  • Ha. Yep, thats my hometown. Sadly.

  • @Jobrogf10

Why'd you say it like that? (lol)

  • This song was played on the original 1967 movie in the diner, near the beginning of the show, just before Sam Wood came into the diner.

  • @RonaldKovacs

Yup, that's where I heard it first (and only) time.

  • I saw Covington square on the Vampire Diaries on the CW the other night...

  • @mgobermcedu

    Oh, okay.

  • I was there today, I saw the clock tower from Goodwill:)

  • @weeoo86

Cool. How far is the Goodwill from the clock tower?

  • @Bryant5493

Uhhh probably about a mile. It's on the main road behind Dairy Queen

  • @weeoo86 ....right next to Kroger

  • @weeoo86

    Oh, okay.

  • I love your videos! I've got a similar video of Covington (that I don't know how to upload, lol)

  • Thanks.

To upload, press the yellow button in the top right corner. If it's on your desktop, click owner (or whatever your desktop is called) and look through videos. If it's on an external device, click on computer. Once you find the video, double click it.

  • Thanks :)

  • Welcome you are.

  • I'm glad you filmed this...I've been to Covington, Ga before when i was a kid. It was neat seeing the Sparta, Ms.

I'm thinking of doing something similar to the Canton, MS square.

  • Cool. Can't wait to see it.

  • Nice video! :)

Will u plz help me and give me tips, I want to make driving and roadgeeking videos. I am 13 but I still have the chance.

    Thanks

  • Thanks. I posted how I mount my camera on your page. An additional thing of note: use a black shirt, blanket, towel, etc., in order to cut down on the glare from the sun.

  • Dat song had me rolling, man.:-)

  • Yeah, it's from the "In the Heat of the Night" movie, with Sidney Poitier. Love the song, personally (lol).

  • The stop sign was for the pedestrians ;-)

  • I kind of figured that, after I finished driving through it. This was my first time driving through it. I've only seen this intersection on the show "In the Heat of the Night."
