Problem with this is that the Egyptians left no written account of powered flight ever occurring. You'd think that there would have been at least a mention of powered flight. The models here used Ailerons, and ignored the boomerang and curly shapes present on the wings and rear stabilizers. Great effort, however I's love to see if these shaped items could be used to replace Ailerons (moving parts of wings) through their rotation. Would be interested to see if we could imrove upon our own aircraft structures (faster,cheaper) using this as alternatives to expensive ailerons. Thumbs up this comment if you agree

I think the most likely explanation is that young people back then built wooden toy planes to compete with each other and play. Maybe go high on the temples/pyramids or a near mountain and throw the planes off to see which one flies farthest. Eventually, someone figured out that you need a rudder/tail fin for stability. Convergent evolutionary ideas.... same solution to the same problem.... it's the same thing that we see in pyramid construction all over the globe.

Problem with this is that the Egyptians left no written account of powered flight ever occurring. The ancient egyptians left behind a vast collection of writing, ranging from sacred scripture to ordinary documents, such as tax accounts and personal letters. You'd think that there would have been at least a mention of powered flight. If there were machines capable of flight, what were they used for? nowhere is there mention of the use of flying machines, not in war or anything else.

As good a condition as they are in it is easier to believe they were toys for children of aristocracy. I do agree that their localized religion played a role, many animals were seen as deities and subsequently worshiped. The collapse of the Roman empire in the mid 5th century does show what can happen to civilization when something dramatic happens. Much of Roman technology was lost, and only reinvented in the "Dark Ages," and the leaps forward after several hundred years of "dark times", which we call the Rennaisance, kind of shows how humans can regress and forget things. It's hard to imagine humans going from using nukes to using crude stone, bronze and copper tools all of a sudden.

I find all this stuff really interesting even if I am slightly skeptical about it. I think a lot of the questions asked on the topic of whether ancient astronauts visited our planet thousands of years ago are really good points. To be honest I reckon there could be a bit of truth to it after all there is shit loads of gaps in history which can not be accounted for.
