actually the 1954 novel "I Am Legend" by sci-fi writer Richard Matheson was the influence that started the Zombie gene you see today. The 1964 film "The Last Man on Earth" staring Vincent Price that features your typical flesh eating Zombie as you know them today. It predates "Night of the Living Dead" by four years. But NOTLD is the more popular and well known film.
"What's In My Bag" is a regular Amoeba feature—that's why everything in Elvira's bag is brand-new, with the underlining assumption that she "bought" her items at Amoeba Records. I'm sure she already has everything in it, including the Romero NOTLD DVD. My guess is that someone from the shoot prepped the bag for her and made a mistake. The woman is legit; she's been the Mistress since I was eating Play-Doh and Lite Brite pieces. Respect.
