Simply amazing videos in this time, and MTV thrived because of it. One of the best Tina Turner songs. Man, there were so many for nearly 30 years so that first sentence is really saying something. This was a true message song that went way beyond just the message of an apocalyptic movie with Mel Gibson in the 1980's. This throws in the face all of the namby-pamby people who think who they can't survive without "mentors". A perfect example, John Gardner whose life was made into the Will Smith movie "Pursuit of Happiness".

Tina's character is a surivor, in the movie she was a cab driver before the cataclysm that led to the post apocalyptic society everyone inhabited in the movie. She was essentially after Master Blaster to keep her city in which she ruled running, Mel Gibson's character was a pawn she used to keep Master Blaster in check.  When the little man escaped there was no real point to killing Mel's character, he already did everything he could do and he wasn't a threat to her anymore.
