Back in the 70's, I took a class called "Industrial Plastics". One day, our professor showed us a container of cyanoacrylate. He said it was a great adhesive but it would never be available to the general public because it could bond human skin.
I used to build model planes and would use cyanoacrylate to glue the balsa plane frames. There was a product called "zip-kicker' that they also sold, which I'm wondering now, if it was just maybe a bottle of finely misted 'water' after seeing this. lol. The zip kicker would amazingly 'freeze up' the glue like 'instantly'. I have a question, though, also pertaining to the glue: "What is the best surface to use the glue upon, and not have it stick to it?" (I think we used to use wax paper ?)
yea but these glues cant handle shaking.they must be stady to hold.do u know any glue that is very strong and can hold shaking on metal,steel,iron...?
ah yes crazy glue haha that brings back memories, maybe two years back i was sleeping and burton and chrisman put sum on my hands and tickled my face so naturally i went to slap at the itch and the glue became stuck, so i had my fingers glued to the side of my face for a couple days u have no clue how funny i looked haha but it really hurt when the medic tried to pull it off my face but eventually it came off in a couple days
UGH, I hate Krazy glue/super glue ever since my exboyfriend super glued himself to me, all I know is that it unfortuntly still works even when its been sitting in a cars glove compartment for awhile...and nail polisher remover saved me that day lol
lol, yeah, it started as a joke, it was just suppose to be "sticky", but then he grabbed my arm with a hand full of it and it bonded instantly....when he tried to pull his hand off right away and I screamed, he knew he put too much on and we were stuck...
Very interesting. BTW: The shirt you wear reminds me of a BBCWORLD Radio Tech program where they talked about a bonding agent under development that will stick to anything even under water. Idea is that they can repair ships' hulls without having to raise the enormous ship out of water. One problem they say they will have is: what to transport it in? Pron: alpha-cyano-acrylate. (cyanide+acryllic) Aren't I brainy, today? just joking... :-)

Cyanoacrylate can be used for sealing wounds and was used in the Vietnam war in a spray form in this manner.

Hi Ginger: you are so precious. thanks for posting and for clearing up, so well, how to pronounce that word.
Xaves511 4 years ago
so is the liquid cold or it would stick anyway wouldent it
Awarrior48 4 years ago
The stuff that makes Krazy Glue work is called alphacyanoacrylate. And it is basically affected by moisture. No air or temperature.
Xaves511 4 years ago

Awarrior48 4 years ago
hahaha . . . well, part of the reason I did not actually say that word on the video is because I'm not sure of how to pronounce it.
