@t0tram could be a bit of a play on memories/emotions. the music is uplifting and it reaches a point (at the end) that many people may associate with their ecstasy taking days, as it was at this point that the words "im f@#$%ing flying" could be heard on many a dancefloor. maybe this ad hopes to appeal to these same people (who are now 40 ish) as they have money and careers and so might see themselves as 'flying' in those terms now. or maybe i'm reading too much into it. who knows? enjoy.

Hey Virgin Australia. Love the airline! Went on VH-YFC, your first 737-800 when it was still in a white livery, on its first flight which was very special. I am currently 13, and have wanted to be a pilot since I was 3 and one day hope to fly with you guys. Went for my first flying lesson the other day which was cool. Excellent commercial. I was in australia last year and travelled on Virgin blue and I thought they were pretty good but this ad would definitely make me want to travel with Virgin Australia again. Very snappy and punchy ad, it just grabs you straight away. The music is excellent too. Pity it couldn't be downloaded

When the man is fixing the seat on the fake A330, I believe it is showing what the hosts/hostesses train and practice in before getting on to real planes and serving the real customers. The airport would most like have Qantas placards and signage as it is an Australian airport and the flight number is obviously there to create more of a realistic feeling. Thank you Virgin Australia and Virgin Group for this wonderful television commercial.

The airport used is actually Melbourne so it would make sense for him to be heading north on the bridge to avoid the peak hour traffic on the M5. The plane and seats are supposed to be fake - its a r & d hanger somewhere...QF422 actually flies Melbourne to Perth, meaning the shot is at Melbourne Airport, not Sydney at all... And I the SQ plane is no coincidence - they need to announce a big Asian partner soon and SQ gave them the Virgin rights!
