@ratowar Okay... I see why you could think that. The main story (the Red John serial killer storyline) *has* evolved, just not very quickly. I see what you mean by that. But the part of the show I enjoy is mostly the characters. While the crime side of it is a bit generic, the understories involving the characters are interesting and different. So that is why I enjoy the Mentalist. I share your enjoyment of Criminal Minds, though. :)
