Yes, it is. These aren't just a dye you can rub into your skin, they're chemicals which actually prevent your cells from producing melanin. Some of those chemicals actually cause cancer and many whitening creams have been banned in Europe because of that.

it is not even slightly racist. Skin tone is controlled for beauty across all cultures. In some places people tan themselves to make themselves more attractive. In other cultures such as indian or asian countries they make themselves paler.

Ok, sorry about the snarky comment. It's actually a red pigment that is supposed to suppress cancer. Ironically, by using it to lower melanin levels, it is actually increasing the chances of skin cancer.

and tanning is about getting a summer glow.. because apparently it mimics biological health, just like blush mimics attraction through through a flush.. it has nothing to do with dark or light skin being unattractive - like this does. I can't believe this ad was even made.

All that spray-tanning mimics is orange-brown paint. It fails to make someone more beautiful than their natural skin color exactly as this whitening stuff does. Tanning booths have been proven to be a lot worse than natural light, too; you're safer using the sun than a booth.
People should just be themselves and learn to love being in their on body. Pale or dark, no exceptions just because you're getting a different kind of fake color. Love yourself for your own unique beauty.

Believe it or not thats actually very true, it's extremely ridiculous. They are obsessed with light skin, b/c the majority there has dark skin. This isnt the only skin bleacher in the market they have various more including 'fair and lovely' and several other whitening products. Obsession with lighter skin isnt just contained within their own culture, they;re also OBSESSED with white ppl, and try incorporate them into every movie and commercial. It's simply ridiculous
