Unfortunately for Blur fans in the U.S., Blur never made it really big here so we don't see much of them. Wish I could have been at Hyde Park last year : (

Instead we get butt-rock bands like Nickelback and Puddle of Mudd. Can't stand them! I don't even listen to radio anymore because I cannot stand the stupid noise coming through! Sometimes I think Blur was too aesthetically intelligent for U.S. audiences....

i completely agree with you. I did see them in Houston in '97, which was prolly 1 of a few times they toured thru here, but it was in a small club. I didn't understand why the US was all about Oasis while Blur got the backburner, aside from the OVERRATED "Song 2", ugh! They have SO many good songs, & I still listen to Blur on a regular basis... they're 1 of my favorite 90s bands ever :)

True. I've written it once and I'll write it again: If they had been as succesful in the U.S. as they were in the U.K. (or even half as succesful) then they would have dominated MTV, particularly with all the diversity. Perhaps if that had happened it would've also stopped MTV from turning to reality shows and betraying music fans everywhere.
