0:25 is DOOM's sample. the reason this song makes such a nice beat is because it's laid back and has no lead part. its jazzy and light, and sorcerors spit fire over it.
@jgk381 These rappers are the reason 90% these people are here listening to this song. Keeping this music alive and out of grumpy old jazz snobs basements.
This song is similar to "Bubbles" by Norman Connors from "You Are My Starship". Many Jazz artists experimented with this style of arrangement, but they were each original in their concept and execution. Not gonna find too many into that today.
dre rock the jewerly with the clear stones n get ona nigga head like headphones im finna spit it with a clear tone get yo attention im the biggest thang since the TV invention
@RealMusic4Sure I was just listening to "Lord knows" and I thought to myself wait.. didn't KMD use the same beat in Sorcerers? I listened to it and it sounded familiar.so I looked up the source and found "All I ask" and know I see that tupac brought you here aswell haha
I sampled this back in '92, but never used it with anyone... Then I heard 2Pac use it. Mac De used it on "It's Not My Job" one of his classics... Always liked this song (original). The Blackbyrds and Donald Byrd have so many classics.
@zulukidd I was just about to say. I was looking for a World Renown comment. Good shit! The first time I ever heard this sample was off that S.I.D. Remix.
MF DOOM sampled this too on "Sorcerers".

Got the spirit of a thug in me
Another sip of that drink, this Hennesey got me queasy
Don't wanna earl, young nigga take it easy
Picture your dreams on a triple beam, and it seems
don't underestimate the power of a fiend
To my homies on the block
slangin rocks with your glocks put this tape in your box
When you're runnin from the cops -- and never look back
If they could be black, then they would switch
Open fire on them busta-ass bitches, and Lord knows...

Why are there more rappers names on this page than ppl who actually worked on this record?
Those rappers had nothing to do with this song.

this song is the soul of soul jazz
it takes you to a place where you don't
want to come back from it puts you in a
mood of relaxation.the jazz of the 70s
was real jazz.
