Yo man try and use a piece of paper towel to plug your blow pipe when your laying your inside out, it will keep the hot gasses from shooting up and burning your hand. That way you can really get in there and lay some sick shit down... but nice work man keep it up
nice dude! im ordering my kit with the red max torch in a few weeks! im diggin all your vids dude thanks for posting! when your imploding the pendant are you basically melting the glass on its self till it condences into a smaller piece..and im guessin when you take off the blow tube and close up the hole..thats where the magnification comes from? thanks dude keep up the work and vids!!!
thats whatsup dude! i love my redmax! Yeah, when i melt the tube, i start from the tip back towards me so that im condensing and working the air out of the end at the same time. The magnification really comes from the thickness of the clear in the glass. The more clear, the more depth (theoretically). hope that helps -tommy-
Very Nice, I will try to make one tomorrow, will let you know how it turns out. One note , get rid of the gas lighter (bic) if you vaule your life. Use a striker instead.
@jimiguitarguy what on earth are you talking about... striker? use a lighter either a bbq one or a flick lighter. If you use a striker when you turn your propane on it gathers in the striker and makes a fireball when you ignite it. bad choice.
just a question my friend... after you add the dots inside the tube, how you made the implosion? I saw you hace the tube open at one side and at the next step you had the implosion made already... what you did there?
the dots inside the tube create the bubbles you see in the finished pendant, he would then close the end of the tube and starting at the end of the tube that was closed begin condensing it, meaning he gets the end molten then slowly works his way up the tube with the flame so that all of the glass melts into a gather at the end, pushing the air out the blow tube.
cool, thanks. I'll have to give it a try. Btw, i converted my red max to a 4-stud and 1/4" barbs. Also, I like the way premix fumes a compare to a surface mix.
The trick to getting the air out is to start at the end of the tube and slowly condense up, if you get ahead of your gather you will end up with bubbles, it isn't easy I have had varied results but with practice it does get easier.
what color did you use to back it with? cobalt?

Hey Tommy,
Thanks for posting.Good job. When you condensed, did you eliminate all the air? Also, I like the speeded up vid, clean and to the point. Louis

Thanks! My goal is to eliminate all of the air inside. Sometimes it doesnt happen that way but most of the the air usually finds its way out. lol
