I think it's because they are saving their good animations for all the future UFC games to come from them. I predict in a couple UFC video games, the fighters will start making the same movements as the actual fighter. like a rampage punch will look like a rampage punch in real life. chuck liddell punches will look like chuck liddell punches in real life. machida's stance will look just like his.

Im with xboxpro on this one. Im a fan of the fight night series as well but if I only had the $64.64 Id go with UFC myself just because the matches are unpredictable much like actual UFC fights, you can be doing everything right and BOOM you get that shot in the sweet spot and their down. Boxing is ofcourse the sweet science and when things are going your way you KNOW your going to win, and you do. But I just love all the different ways to take someone out in UFC. Both are good though.

i have a minor problem with this game that keeps popping up in my head. I have read that there are only 6 fighting styles in this game but it has LYOTO MACHIDA as a playable character. my point being how can they have machida in the game with only 6 fighting styles when his main fighting style is karate? it eve say's on the official website below machidas name that his strength is 'karate'. surely they cant allocate him muay tai as his main style.

This game is... uh.. it's different...

it's an amazing first step.. and anyone who says its button mashing is kind of dense... in fact... my problem with it is kind of the opposite.

with this game.. there is so much shit to do, that the controller just limits it... if they made a new controller for this game it would be much better....

I might get it.. but it's sometimes to damn annoying when i try to do something but i accidentally do another move right next to it on the keyboard.
