I hadn't heard this song until the day I laid my best friend Sammy down, my cat companion of 15 years. He was with me during the last 4 years of my 20 year military service and was quite the hero as he battled for his life at the end. One thing we did together was rail at the unjust war in which he, I and my countrymen find ourselves. In that field on the edge of home, I hope to visit him soon and pass the good news that no more soldiers have met his sad and untimely fate.

Did you know that the IRS is an unconstitutional entity. It is NOT part of the Federal Government. It's owned and operated by a group of 12 International Banks (7 of which are owned by foreigners). Yea, that's right...the money you have in your hand and in your bank is not owned by you. The US borrows this money from these international banks and pays them back with interst!

Sorry, in my previous comment I referred to the IRS instead of the Federal Reserve.

Without a Federal Reserve we wouldn't need to have an IRS. Forget the fact that nowhere in the constitution is it legal for the US government to tax their citizens. In fact, the 1st reason stated by the Founders of the United States for declaring their independance was because England imposed Taxes on them without their consent.

Not only should we get rid of the CIA..we should also get rid of Homeland Security...they don't work!!

Instead of trying to fix the problem by adding more bureaucracy (like the current administration did by creating Homeland Security) we need to scrap it all together!

I am not parroting a media line, i genuinely believe Ron Paul has said maybe 3 smart things that no one else would have the balls to say and the rest of his ideas are ludicrous. And the only reason he has the balls to say what he did about the war is because he knows he has absolutely no chance of winning. I have as much chance at winning the election as he does and I am not even old enough to legally hold the office. Ron Paul isn't brilliant. He is unrealistic.

I always thought this, but after seeing this video, I would love for any and all of the people that have complete and total opposition to the war including our troops to look into any one of these soldiers faces and tell them that they are wrong. excuse me, tigers, but i am in the military and i have friends in iraq and a couple that have been seriously disabled over there. i think this war is wrong. we shouldnt be there. however you would be hard pressed to find somone against the troops, rather than against the war, i think. it's a great video and song and i want all americans over there to come home, too. but dont be foolish when you talk about those opposed to the war.

WOW! I don't think I have cried that much since my husband left. It was nice to see the Navy recognized, especially the submarine fleet. My husband is a submariner and is fighting as we speak. Thanks to all branches for their service.

My little brother left for his first tour to Iraq on August 19, 2007. He leaves at home 4 children, a wife and a family who despises the man in office that put my brother where he is, but I am more proud of him than I could ever put into words to him, or anybody else. I bawled like a baby the first time I heard this song. My hearts go out to all for whom this song rings so true for, and for all of us hoping we don't get that final letter. I love you Mike.

And in case you don't know, in the Vietnam war we (the USA) lost 3,000 in a month and in WW2 we lost that many on a single day. I don't recall any oil in Korea or in Vietnam....Yet thousands of US soldiers went and did thier duty. The US military doesn't make policy to where they go and fight, they enforce the policies of the people that send them to war. The current enemy took good notes from the Vietnam war and know if they make the war go on long enough, people like you will loose heart, give up and find some excuse to let our military down when they need us the most. I LIKE MANY OTHERS do NOT support the reason why we are in Iraq. If you remember correctly our appointed president said that "Hussein tried to kill my father..." that is not a reason to put our troops in harms way. I hope that I never have to read a letter like that from my Husband. He is in the Army and has been over there twice already. The first was before me and the second was the day after Thanksgiving of 2005. That was the hardest day for me. I lost my Father who was a Vietnam Vet the same day. Thank You for this post!! I would like to say Thank You to all the families of the Fallen!!!! May there Brothers and Sisters in Arms greet them at the Gates of Heaven and there Families Welcome Them Home!!!
