First off health care is a right not a privilege and second the federal government has the right to enforce a national health care act. Third socializing health care is a good thing. The number of blacks in the southern was so much more numerous that if they been counted as whole persons the south would would have had a majority of representatives in Congress. It wasn't just the south that had slavery. Better go check the history of the northern states. New York has slavery up until the 1860's.
Where the U.S. stands out in a bad way is that no other western country had a civil war partly based on slavery. Most of it was based on tarriffs and economic issues, but Lincoln didn't like the 3/5ths clause because it hepled the D party. He had plans to ship out all the blacks at conclusion of war.

The govt. and politicians don't like the amendment process because it is difficult. It is also certain to make people question what the govt. is doing if an amendment is necessary. It's far easier to pretend that implied powers are there. The fed. courts then act as rubber stamps for the regime. That's what is going on.

First off health care is a right not a privilege and second the federal government has the right to enforce a national health care act. Third socializing health care is a good thing. Why would the Founders have went through the trouble to laboriously negotiate enumerated powers if the "general welfare" clause can be anything. The number of blacks in the southern was so much more numerous that if they been counted as whole persons the south would would have had a majority of representatives in Congress. It wasn't just the south that had slavery. Better go check the history of the northern states. New York has slavery up until the 1860's.
Where the U.S. stands out in a bad way is that no other western country had a civil war partly based on slavery. Most of it was based on tarriffs and economic issues, but Lincoln didn't like the 3/5ths clause because it hepled the D party. He had plans to ship out all the blacks at conclusion of war.

The govt. and politicians don't like the amendment process because it is difficult. It is also certain to make people question what the govt. is doing if an amendment is necessary. It's far easier to pretend that implied powers are there. The fed. courts then act as rubber stamps for the regime. That's what is going on.
