@FractureTheBand : To be honest, a bunch of randoms. Lots of sm57s, one of the cheapest drum mic kits I could find, and some random Apex's. Spent a lot of time tuning. A lot of people think my heads are trashed from the look, but if they sound good who cares?

I ran all the mics through some pre amps (I don't exactly remember which right now, I've been at school since sept. hence lack of vids) which allowed me to gate and control everything individually. If you wanna know more IM me.

Very good technique and everything. But it's obvious that you should practice a bit more with your metronome.

I have the same problem. After a break or something I get slightly off tempo and it becomes painfully obvious once I hit the snare. I hear the exact same thing with you.

well he doesn't have timing issues with the serious stuff he plays, it's not like he needs to practice with a metronome to learn that skill... even the best drummers have timing issues from time to time doing a cover for youtube... besides this song is actually kind of weird to keep time because of the unusual tempo. His timing is spot on with his latest video, with much tougher licks too.
