Well, she is getting the popularity she wants. Both leaders have that they think might work so we really shouldn't underestimate the both of them (I think). But in the end, it's just a matter of life principle and woman don't usually do well in elections even if they are skilled enough to win. Many voters elect men and not women. And if Jack wins, May will always be there to oppose him.
Jack Layton did not pick the correct candidate for the Toronto Center election. El-Farouk Khaki is supposedly a Muslim, but he formed the first Muslim queer group in Canada. We all know Muslims support the Conservative view against homosexuality, so this is one reason for NDP's decline In the Toronto Center election. I personally am sick of Liberals and Conservatives, and i would have voted for Greens if i had the chance.
Wow. Talk about wriggling on the end of a hook. How many times was he asked about the Greens, and avoided mentioning their name at all (except for once...mentioning that the Greens siphoned off the Conservative vote!). This is just nuts. Does he think he's for real? I don't think he thinks the Greens are for real, that's for sure. He's going to be in for a bit of a rude awakening very soon.
While its true that burying your head in the sand as a (Green) tidal wave approaches may be an effective way to prevent yourself from drowning, it will only work in cases where you suffocate first.
Yeah Don Newman! Best CBC Host.

When the NDP went as far EAST as the Liberals (thanks Pierre), and Toronto over-filled with NIMBY's, what can you expect?

I'll never understand the NDP policy of attacking the Liberals, attacking Conservatives, and then pretending the Greens don't exist.
I can't wait to see how Elizabeth May and the Greens perform in the general election
