I really hate millitary bands, but Texas A&M's band i hate more than any of them. Mainly because im a percussionist and their line sucks...

Typical horns placing calling Ags classless. For one, how are we to know tu wasn't going to pull some stunt in their routine? For two, it's sort of our way of saying goodbye, since texas decided it wouldn't play us anymore because it "didn't fit in their schedule."

And @tertillaprep makes a valid point. It is a rivalry. Bashing on both sides will continue, no matter what.

Looks like the same formations they used when I was at UT 40 years ago. The best band in the SWC was Rice, particularly when they played A&M.

I know that sawing off the horns wasn't appropriate after the longhorns showed us the kind respect of thanking us for 100 + years of rivalry, but all in all, it is a RIVALRY. The bashing of Texas A&M by ut will continue and vice versa. On the way to the game a longhorn fan was trying to pick a fight with an Aggie that was just walking by him and while in the game there were people from both sides talking smack to the other. Let's all just mellow out.

@aggiesoldier OR because the aggies have NEVER even made it close to the Rose Bowl, the Longhorns have tons of times. They also basically own the Big 12 Conference. Good luck losing in the SEC. :P

Yeah thats when the Longhorns DID win the Rose Bowl, also we made it there in 2009 and 2010.Yeah have fun taking on the "real" teams and losing. Since apparently y'all couldnt do good in the Big 12.

As a school you need to know how to behave and probably teach you band the Sportsmanship. Use the Horn Down on us while we play "Thanks A&M" to you!!!

Well, the Texas band ends their performance saluting A&M and playing Thanks for the Memories, also presented one of the A&M flags used during the bonfire halftime tribute.

The Aggies returned the favor by forming the Longhorn symbol and breaking the Horns... The Aggies probably did not expect the classy behavior from the Texas band, or perhaps the Aggies are just plain clueless.

No wonder the football gods smiled on Texas in the second half...

I hope that as they travel all over the $ec as the designated "bottom man" of the conference in places like Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee, Georgia, and Mississippi and locking their shoulders and swaying back and forth singing, "Saw varsity's horns off." that they will forever remember the night they choked on national tv to the Horns one last time at Gomer Pyle Field.
