So, he retired, good for him, but really...who cares...news goes on...someone else reading it...been a while now, anyone stop watchin because he is gone?
Been watching Lloyd since I was a little kid. I remember meeting him in Calgary and Vancouver for both Olympics. Thanks for bringing Canadians the most trusted voice in news.
That was the best newscast...commercial free!! I will definitely miss Lloyd Robertson's presence. Good luck to Lisa LaFlamme in filling those big shoes.
@leeph ..No he doesn't..he says ".......of Lloyd Robertson"....He does pause on the "F"..in the word of,...that's why it might sound that way to some.
You are a great man and a wonderful human being Lloyd,I'll admit I did have to choke back a few tears. It's sad to see you go and we will miss you.Enjoy a well earned retirement! :)
Other then being a Media giant and contributing greatly to make CTV what it is today, especially there news cast service, Lloyd was one of the many little (but important) things that made Canada such a wonderful place to live.
You hardly ever find an anchor who so skillfully is able to connect with the viewers and break through all the age, race, religion barriers. Lloyd was one of those and will truly be missed.
And no doubt, he was a landmark in the 11PM time slot.

Did Lisa get a new desk?

@hockeyplayernumber4 It looks like they did. To be honest, it looks somewhat similar to the desk for Global National.

Ew, it's Stephen Harper. Ew! It's like a big creepy, hair spider crawled onto my TV screen and I need to get a paper towel out and smoosh it!

Best of luck to you, Lloyd Robertson. Canada is proud to have had you as our news anchor. You're not only a class-act, but a true Canadian.
