I had never heard this song untill a couple days ago and ran up on it by accident. Now it's my opening song on one of my YT channels. Very powerful song. I give you a 10+ on the video 'scottruss42".
This is a great song. This is the first time I have heard it. I thought I had heard every song he ever sang since I've been a fan since the first time I heard him sing in the early 1970's. There is no one any better! I've seen him in concert several times, and he never fails to amaze me. These so-called country singers today sure don't measure up to the older ones who are still the greatest in my book.
If you search an interview that was just put up today with Ronnie in Albuquerque promoting the new album, he talks about this video here on Youtube and gave it great praise, said his wife talked about it and how wonderful it was...great honor for a great video
NOTICE: Ronnie Milsap is coming out w/ "Country Again" July 26! "If You Don't Want Me to" will be released the 18th! Please spread this everywhere! BTW, BloozeDaddy76, you have a message from me in/on your channel.
This is from Ronnie's 2006 country album "My Life". Radio refused to play it of course, because they were afraid Ronnie would put guys like Tim and Kenny out of business with his superior voice.
great song sung my Ronnie Milsap he did an excellent job. when was this song published by R.Milsap, I never heard this one either Loved the video clips .
Nice choices on the movie shots, although some were a little funny because I recognized the scene and remembered what was happening in the movie at that point (Seven, for example). Brad Pitt getting the crap kicked out of him by a serial killer doesn't really blend well with a sad love song. But the shot works if you didn't know where it came from. :-)
I'm a big Ronnie Milsap fan from back in the early '70s and never heard this song. Just great - can't understand why it's obscure, but thanks for making it available.
Could you put up a list of the clips you used? I don't know half these movies, and some of them look very interesting just from a second or two of expression.
Great song. Who did this video? It is one of the best non studio or studio for that matter videos I have seen and I am looking for someone to produce at least 2 for original Cd to be released early next 2010.
Every song the great Ronnie Milsap records will be instantly "obscure" as long as country radio refuses to play his music.
There's a very simple reason why we can't hear Ronnie Milsap on the radio anymore....Nashville would find it too unsettling to hear a 65 year old man blow away every manufactured country clone on the charts in 2009!

Just got done listening to the George Strait version, and it's good too. Really love Milsap's lower voice though, it gives it a more melancholy feel.
The video, by the way, is amazing. Great job finding all the clips.

The fact that you're a big fan and haven't heard this should tell you why it's obscure: not many people have heard it.
Just sayin'

I think the best obscure Ronnie Milsap song was "Turn that Radio On," a number 4 in 1991.

love this song he is one of the best that's why we don't him on the radio.
