@cambocan. no its not illegal. he wasnt a pet. he came to live with us as a fledgling after falling out of a tree. we intentionally helped him learn skills to return to his crow family who stayed engaged during the time he was with us. his wild brother came and played in the hose only inches from my feet. and the crow who stayed with us flew freely after we helped him learn to fly after he was biggger. he'd fly down the hill, sit in a tree to wait for the school bus, and fly to my son's shoulder
This is also a baby crow...about the same age as the kitten...we had the good luck for a baby crow to live with us for awhile...he fell from a tree the end of may and couldn't fly yet...and stayed with us until the fall...but was free to fly anywhere he wanted outside...he just saw us as his family and for the longest time would not pay attention to his crow relatives...it was a wonderful summer...that crow was pure love...

There are exceptions, but cats often get along fine with animals of other species that are traditionally prey, as long as they are raised together. My friend when i was a kid for example had two cats as well as rabbits and guinea pigs. At worst they were indifferent to each other, at best they'd sit and rest together.
if this crow and this cat can get along, and they are "inferior" animals, or natural enemies...then why cant we "smarter" and civilized humans get along??? we have much to learn from watching our animal friends...the more i see and learn from animals, the more i am humbled and almost ashamed to be a human.

The ratio is actually pretty high when you compare that to animals. The fact remains, we polluted the water, polluted the air and nearly destroyed the Ozone layer.
I had used the word "majority" when I talked about Humans, myself not included. Besides you bring up a good point I forgot.........suicide. Any animals besides Humans taking the easy way out?

It's not a dumb comment. That's rude that you say that. It shows that even before humans there were major wipeouts. And you have to take note of how territorial animals are. Humans, have their own spaces, sure, but hippos (herbivores) and other animals kill in areas not even occupied by them to maintain their superiority (if alpha). That's unprovoked violence.

Unprovoked.........not true. Non-Human animals for the most part are instinctive and reactionary, they do not reason a way a Human can. We have no excuses, except that we are unable to control our emotions.
Animals 100% of the time either attack because of food, their young or sex (food and sex fall under territory.)

What about big cats that hunt for fun? Even house cats are known to play with their food i.e. a small rodent, kill it, and than not eat it. That has NOTHING to do with territory. People who own farms see chickens killed but not eaten: opossums. Monkeys are KNOWN to take out one of their own (group) for fun. And you're right about one thing, animals don't call each other dumb. Animals do not kill for sport, they do not hate, these react to situations for survival reasons. How many animals have gone extinct from Human intervention? Better yet, how many specific Human ethnicities have gone extinct because of other Humans? If we are so advanced and have the means to communicate, then why not? Why does a man need more land than he can use?

Happened to many species of dinosaur. Deer don't go human hunting because, let me think, their herbivores! Animals aren't smart enough to do anything we've done.

Guys, I solved the mystery: the crow thinks the cat is a disabled crow. Think about it: they say the cat was really small at first, and it can't fly. Not inconceivable to think it's a hurt crow that needs care. Plus, look at how the crow handles the cat, almost looks like it's teaching it to fly. Now, where's my honorary avian doctorate?
Btw, wtf is up with that ditz anchorwoman? Taking care of a cat would not be *human*itarian, it would be *felitarian* or something. Dumb broad.
