Are these random model pictures (looks like vintage Vogue stuff) or is this the actual band? I've got a couple of these pics but I would like to find more. They're really really beautiful to look at.
Good morning, do you like sixties? Listen and pod cast my program " great sound of 60' s " on the site plumfm. Greeting and made blooper in rock and roll.
Salut, vous aimez les sixties ? Ecoutez et podcatez mon émission "le super son des sixties" sur plum fm. Salut et faites gaffe au rock'n roll.
Have you made this video yourself? I wish I had lived in the 60's. When all this begun to happen. I love especially the Yardbirds and the Animals, and I am very truly unlucky to be borned in 1991 !! It would be worth it to be 56 years old now..
The 60s were an AWESOME era. Fabulous fashion, music, attitude. Innovation, technology, art, science, going to the moon, radical political movement, and milestones... it was magic
Oh yes... I'm 20 and the women of my generation dissapoint me a little... all Katy Perrys, Miley Cyrus, Rihannas... all about beauty, but little about the real good music.
Wow, this is really awesome. i'm trying to find out more about Patti and her groove here but there is like absolutely nothing on the net about them... i need HELP anyone got any info on them at all??? eeh
A friend gave me a link once to a story that explained they were an all-female rock combo, initially with a name like The Female Beatles, before releasing at least one 45 single on Columbia, #43484, 1966: "It Won't Last Long," b/w "Tears (Fill the Hours)".
Sadly, I can't find this link to update my info, but I'll keep trying.
I learned about it from the CD, "GIRLS IN THE GARAGE, Part 3" (Romulan Records). The label also had a vinyl series of G.I.T.G. that it may be on, too.
great song! The black and white swirls reminds me of that lady that was painted in lots of black & white swirls in the first Austin Powers movie; when Austin was in the Electric Psychedelic Pussycat Swingers Club.
Nice montage, Patti. You have the good sense to add an equally good soundtrack, which can't always be said of the other op art posts. It gives an extra dimension to the sights of the Sixties.
I always wanted to be like that even back in the 80's when it wasn't cool to be retro.I was too young to wear it anyway, but would watch Laugh-in and other 60's stuff and wanted to be like that with the doe eyes and pale lips stick
I love this! I'm a long time collector of garage band records but I've never heard this. You're right, the female groups weren't heard from nearly as much, but they are fantastic to hear.
