  • Is it free?

  • @TheAustinKyle yes it's free. check out the website for full details.

  • That's me got this software on my camera. Works perfect, I keep mine in Cine Bar mode so it's 21:9.

  • @Starky3000 I'm not sure I know what that is?

  • @Knoptop If you go under "LiveV" and scroll down to "Cropmks(0/6) : OFF" Press once so it changes to "Cropmks(1/6) : CINESC02.BMP !" This creates crop marks on your screen as reference marks so you can frame your video and make it easier to crop in Post.

  • @Knoptop You could put this on another one of your "Tech Talk" Episodes.

  • Please make more videos about magiclantern!

  • Looks like that Access monitor is more like $100 vs. $40...you got a deal.

  • you dont need magic lantern to add a monitor right?

  • Hi, today i just test, i use usb-rca cable, but the external monitor is blank /no signal, wat problem is it? or Magic Lantern just support HDMI?

  • @unholydevil2 Hmm, not sure. You may want to check to see if "force hdmi-vga" is (as seen here 6:55 )

  • I've had magic lantern for a year and just updated my it's all good.the news one the best.

  • i like it but im scare of a possible brick on my t2i, is the risk high??

  • @6DarkOne6 The risk is there. But check out the site.. I don't know if there's any documented 'bricks' ~ but I could be wrong. Just be sure to follow the intructions carefully.

  • @6DarkOne6 I never heard of anyone bricking their Canon DSLR with Magic Lantern.

  • How many HDR photos can you now take?

  • Thanks for the shout out man. Nice channel

  • thanks for the info

  • i don't know if you've realized this, but you can monitor audio through headphones without an external monitor. with just a couple of things from radioshack. you need an rca to headphone adapter plus a pair of couplers and use the usb-rca cable that comes with the camera. you need magic lantern, though, or else the camera lcd will turn off.

  • @zimbloggy cool thanks!

  • that is just AWESOME! :D

  • Has anyone tried Magic Lantern for the 60D?

  • @Knoptop Get yourself a miniUSB to Audio/video out cable. And then get a converter to 3.5mm audio plug. The camera should (i did test on EOS 550D) give an audio out directly to your earplugs... and without that extra display.

  • Man, hope this will work on the T3I. I was planning to pick up the T3I to use along with my vixia hg21, but I may just pick up a T2I instead.

  • Thanks for the information, pls tell me more on the Access HD External monitor, can i use it for film making, is the picture quality good, help pls, thanks

  • @BIDBitTV100 I've only used the monitor a few times (indoors) so far it's worked nice. It's not HD, but the quality allows to for pretty accurate focus. But I'm not sure how good it'd work outside yet. I tend to rely on it more as a playback screen when reviewing some scenes to the talent and crew. I'll post more as I can get more time with it.

  • Um mm... Will this jive with T3i? I NEED that audio meter... I all but ruined an interview thanks to clipping!

  • @ASFonline Yep, the wiki page will give you more details on the T3i status

  • @Knoptop Will this give us aperture control in video?

  • @skinVISIBLE yep, full list of features are on the wiki page (link in description)

  • The new ISO's are worth it.

  • Is there a tutorial on how to just update to the new version?

  • @RedHandedRejects if you've got MJ already running on the camera then to update is easy. Simply put your card into the computer, download the latest .zip and extract the files to the card (writing over the old stuff) and boom. updated.

  • @Knoptop

Sounds good! Do I have to delete anything from off the card?

  • @RedHandedRejects Generally I deleted the files from the card. (don't reformat the card) just delete them. Just to be sure everything gets updated. I may make a quick video tonight, showing how.

  • @Knoptop

    Would be awesome!

  • you any idea if this will work for Canon 60D?

  • @Starky3000 yeppers, check out the MJ wiki for more info!

  • @Knoptop sweet, just charging the battery first then update time :D
