Supposedly Ali Pasha died during a TV match taped in Pittsburgh in the late '50s or early '60s. Don't know any of the details. Bill Cardille was interviewed during the making of the pro wrestling documentary "Legends Never Die" and said that some fans thought it was all part of the show when Pasha was carried out of the ring on a stretcher with a sheet over his head. Someone asked him "Don't you think you guys are taking this a bit far?" They didn't know he was really dead.
@elc1960 Apparently from what i could find out (it was very tough thing to find out by the way) Ali Pasha died immediately after his match with BiIlly Darnell in Pittsburgh on May 20th 1961 due to a heart attack. Although I could not find any info on who Ali Pasha really was(what he was like)
