well it looks nice but my opinion is that he is overdoing the lean of his bike, its not far lent over at all.. imo he could drive way faster through there and not have to sit so far of to the side..
It's not hard to do. I have a 'Busa and can easily knee down - just takes confidence (ESPECIALLY IN YOUR TIRES). However, because I ride mostly streets, I don't get too excited because I don't want a hole in my jeans like the first time I did it. ;)
That was good. It is all the rider. Not the bike. I been riding 5 years and have never dragged a knee. I have had a 06 600rr and now have a 06 busa. I will be practicing or even taking a class as soon as i find a good school or place in san diego or near here.
dont take balls just knowing how to ride and practice, proof....nice vid....i ride a 14 aand a busa in the canyons....theyre not pigs....more like mountain couches...very nice
Thanks to all those who have posted! Zipperator who posted this video, and I ride quite frequently and have for years - we thought it might be nice to dispel some of those big bike myths. Before Busa's we both rode FJ1200s - YES, big bikes can carve too! ;-)
man as a busa owner you have inspired me to understand my baby a bit more... I have no chicken strip, but damn you look like you're ridin on side walls.
Actually, I have about 1/16" left, and opposite to what many say (for street riding) you Want some strip left! Otherwise it means your contact patch is diminished when you need it the most! At the track I do scrub clear off the edge, but then I also drag the fairing clutch bulge and the stator cover.
My goodness. Where did you learn how to ride? I've been contemplating taking an MSF course, but I don't know how much more they can teach me (Very experience rider took me under his wing, taught me about body possition, etc... already).
I would recommend MSF to any rider who has not already taken it - no matter your experience, they will have you do exercises on a motorcycle that you have not tried and it can certainly improve your balance and decision making process while riding. To continue, spend the weekend with Keith Code!
No worries. I actually teach a cornering clinic a couple times each summer. For a little added fun note the pile of sand in the center of the lane on pass 2 that I run wide around and my puck kicks up a little cloud. ;-)
Looks a bit twisted, get the upper torso off the bike more, put your head below your mirror even. The goal is to get as much weight off the side of the bike as possible, so you don't have to lean the bike as much.
Apologies if I'm wrong, I can't see much from the video.
